Anyone who thinks he will win us the WC is living in a dream world, he's clearly struggling in every game since being injured.

One player cant win the world cup. And he now comes off due to possible injury as i type this! Probably felt his groin again.

I dont fancy our chances at the world cup tbh, only thing in our favour is all the top teams have looked shakey in recent times so may not have to play good to win

Wigan played well until the sending off killed their game plan. they would have frustrated chelski had they not been down to 10.

Yes perhaps for a while but Chelsea are always slow against such teams but they tend to build up.

No he can't but he is very important.

Season was over the night when Rooney got injured.

I agree. It has shown the frailty of us that we needed the talisman to do perform. Berbatov is talented but he's too fooking lazy. He just needs to be sold (but no-one wants a lazy bugger.)

Now Rooney has a month to get fit and enter the WC with the attitude he always has - positive and wanting to do well.

Rooney is a big game player, and that's why he is so important for England's world cup chances. He fucks with defenders heads, and that is just as important as his goals.

Chelski scum; well done, now unless you have massive investment, I cannot see your squad managing another season like this.

7-0

It should also be pointed out we've beat our main competition at home and away which has been key.

Credit to Chelsea - breach 100 goals and get 7 goals (or more with how wigan going) in 4 games. Cant deny they been a much more entertaining team then in recent years.

7-0

Aye it is key.. but both them games had a big hand from the officials :p

Congratulations on winning the league Chelsea. I do feel hard done by when Drogba scored against us when he was miles offside, but all teams have good and bad luck so I'm sure we got a goal we should not have etc.

Wonder if Ancelotti will say something to Mourinho? Didn't he say "if we win the league i will tell the media my true thoughts about him"?

My aims for the transfer market:

A top striker to help out Rooney - financed by the sale of berbatov
A Xavi style player to replace scholes (not that there really anyone that fits this other then Xavi :p )
A right back - backup for Rafael for when he sent off... though Fabio could cover i spose (neville !blah!)

We not bad on winger front. Ribery always the shout by people but blah !

Beyond that I think we pretty good to try push next year. Get in some good youth prospects as well of course :)

And glad to hear the supporters after the disappointment stay right behind the team

New striker will be joining whether Berbatov leaves or not. Hernandez will need time to settle in and will only play a bit part.

We also need a goal scoring midfielder without fail.

Lampard 20+ goals from midfield = class, without Ronaldo we have lacked another player to reach 20 goals like Chelsea have. Says it all that our 2nd top scorer was OG's.

We also need a new goalkeeper, Foster is off and I don't rate Kusczak to replace VDS if anything happens to him.

Fooking massive hand, bigger than that one from the old National Lottery ads.

Fair play though, good for their money and gratz to Chelski.

Xavi and scholes are totally different players. Iniesta is more like Scholes. Id say the heir to the Ballon D'or, Micheal Carrick is the guy who is similar in their roles to xavi.

Congratulations Chelsea, hopefully we will be joining you next week in being crowned champions

LOL Marc.

Not many top creative mid-fielders around unfortunately, Gibson and Anderson are good shouts as future stars, but they have a long way to go.

When I saw Anderson at Porto I thought he was the shit. Looked better than Ronaldinho did when he played for PSG. When he signed for united I couldnt believe it! But I dont think he has kicked on as much as people, including myself thought he would. Maybe he needs more responsibilty

As for other Creative midfielders, its a shame Pirlo is the wrong side of 30. He would be ideal for Man United if he could manage to oust Carrick from the starting 11. As for younger ones, id say Gourcuff is worth a punt.

The main problem with Anderson is that he always wants to push on, but he has been forced to play mainly in defensive roles. It's a good thing in that he is more flexible as a player, but he has lost his attacking edge by not using it IMO.

Didnt mean to imply xavi and scholes are similar... just that as scholes is basically on his way out (next year be his last) I would like a creative xavi type player that makes teh team tick to be his replacement

Anderson broke his leg at Porto before he signed for us, had to change his style.

Had a great 1st season, but this he has been distracted with off the field problems. Massive season for him next year.

Good shout on Gourcuff, class player.
