Unlucky Soze.

At least it will give Cesc chance to meet his new teamates.

If (or when if you like) Cesc moves to Barcelona where do you see him playing? The midfield looks pretty saturated with Xavi and Iniesta pretty much running the game whilst there seems to be a rotation with Toure, Busquets, Keita (i may be missing some here so feel free to add them).

Good question and one that I have mulled over myself. Xavi is 30, but is still at the top of his game, however, one would assume that Cesc is an ideal replacement for him. The best passer of the ball in the world, replaced by probably the second best makes a lot of sense. However, we also have 2 absolute starlets waiting in the wings in Jonathon Dos Santos and Thiago Alcantara and id hate us to lose either of these, due to limited first team oppurtunities. We are also interested in Ribery, so I just dont know what Pep has in mind.

Though draw in Europa League for Liverpool. Fulham looks like they can have a shot at it really.
Altho i suspect whomever gets through in the Liverpool side of the cup will win it.

Do you think Henry could move on in the summer then? Pedro has looked a class act from what i've seen and it takes some doing to keep Henry out of the side. I'd guess Iniesta could be shifted up to that wide left/right position too, although maybe they'll just bring in Ribery to fill the gap.

The Barcelona youth system makes me sick though, unbelievable talent just comes off the production line year after year!

I honestly think cesc will stay at Arsenal for at least one more season, they have done well this season so far, and it's only injury that has kept them from doing better. I think he will go to Barca, but not until they have a space for him, so Ineista or Xavi would have to be past it first.

Everyone seen that Capello has officially invited Beckham to the world cup as part of the England staff?

Yes, Pedro has really come of age this year, but he can also play centre forward, but is probably a little inexperienced to lead the line. Ibrahmovics form is a little concerning tbh, so we still need Henry but I can see him leaving in the summer.

I can see Man Utd making the final with that draw.

I think Arsenal will be up for a game with Barca tbh, they seem to do better against attacking teams, rather than trying to break someone down

Cesc has always said he will end up at Barce its his team after all. But it will be on his terms i think. At the moment he is captain of a top 4 team in the best league in the world i just cant see him giving that up to be a squad player atm.

I have said it all along i could see Cesc playing out his contract 5 more season i think and then play his Testimonial and move to Barce on a free at 26 maybe play out his best years at Barce. His attitude has always been he will see out his contract so fingers crossed.

thats the thing with Cesc. He is so damn well established in English Premier League that it easy to forget how young he is, given the amount of time he has been the leading player in that Arsenal side.

He is one of the few central midfielders I would truelly love to see in the Utd team, but it will never h appen

In theory yes, given that Iniesta used to play on the left, but I dont think we want to upset Pedro, given the performances hes played this year. I personally think Soze is right and he wont sign until Xavi is ready to be replaced. I know for a fact Chelsea have had Pedro watched, but shouldnt read too much into that. Scouts from the premiership and italy are always at Spanish games and vice versa and I dont think pedro would hack it in the premier league anyway.

ANyway, Ageuro is pretty much nailed on to join Chelsea in the summer and could also be joined by David Villa. We fucked up there in signing Ibrahimovic when Villa was literaly begging us to sign him. For whatever reason, Real Madrids interest has cooled, opening the door for Chelsea and Man United

If Aguero does actually move to Chelsea i hope it will be a sign of things to come (in revamping the first team and squad), half the side looks jaded and unmotivated. I'd guess the only other potential bidders could be United and City; since Barcelona don't need him and Real Madrid won't go in for him because of the rivalry between them.

Not sure how Villa would cope in England as he's much older, but the valuation of both of them depends massively on their world cup performances. Both could send their stock value to 40m with a good haul of goals.

My father was a scout for Barcelona and introduced me to a lot of people involved at the club, who I keep in semi regular contact with

He wont sign for City, trust me on that and I am not aware of any firm interest from United. PLus, united have other areas of the team that require more attention. Aguero is keen on chelsea and Chelsea are keen on him. Its up to the clubs to thrash out a deal.

As for Villa, who knows! Personally, i think he would do better at Chelsea than Man United as Chelsea's style suits him better.

Both Aguero and Villa demand price tags that are too high and unrealistic. Given Villa's age, anyone would be stupid to spend more than £20million on him, and Aguero is at best worth £25million as he is unproven (outside of Spain).

Aguero will easilly take a £40m price tag to get the deal done.
He is the biggest asset at the club and gets them lots of important results (see champions league) and as such he wont be going cheap at all... especially when there are teams with bottomless pits desperate for him.

Yeah, it's a shame though. You'd think given the financial state of the majority of football that clubs would start seeing sense.

I'd honestly hope we don't spend any money on those two players, let chelski and man city throw away their cash if they want to.

Any transfer is a gamble.

However, if Aguero gives you ten years and is a star for those ten years then £40 is peanuts

Finally, in this age of clarifications, retractions and denials, it's nice to see a man stick to his guns. Carlos Tevez infamously described Gary Neville as "a bootlicker and a moron", and was asked at a fans' forum if he thought Nev was "still a moron".
Tevez's reply: "Yes." (The Sun)
