I really think he will regret that quote, I think he needs to stop this crusade against refs having to explain extra time. 5 minutes was more than fair, and tbh we wouldn't have scored.

I'd hoped he had taken the time to calm down, and that is why it took him so long to do an interview, but obviously not. Still it's not exactly new news that he is a bad loser, wouldn't be where he is today if he accepted defeat calmly.

Good result i did not think West Ham would be able to keep that up for the 90. A goal from Eduardo that could signal a bit of a return to form which is nice :) Vela looked good out on the left as well.

But if you hate him or love him its good to see Hartson back looking well fingers crossed he can beat this cancer totally.

Home to Ipswich. Winnable, but the kind of game we lose.

Yup, assuming we beat them.

If we don't i won't be to arsed, wouldnt mind us withdrawling from all cup competitions till prem status is secure.

Good fightback by Arsenal there, didnt panic and just kept playing good football.

Watched the Man Utd game earlier and they were rubbish, you;d have thought theyd up there game for Leeds really. Kind of game the fans would want a win from.

tbh the ref should have put about 30minutes of added time on.. but then that is because I dont agree with it.

Match is meant to be 45mins a half, not 30mins a half with 15minutes of the ball not being in play.
Also need to put additional things in, like if a player can lay on the ground for 5minutes and then still walk of the pitch and be ready to return in 30s then the player should be made to wait on the sidelines for the same duration that he held up play for.

I dont think I would ever be allowed to become a ref :p

Please don't try and cover up how poor we were on the day.

Leeds outfought us on the day, we lacked desire and passion, reminded me of the memorial game against City a few years ago.

Leeds deserved it end of.

Where'd the 15 minutes out of play come from? I watched it and there was no more injury time required than your average game. If the referee was perfect then surely strangely Brown would have been sent off anyway?

I actually thought the ref had a very good game, let little things go, but stopped things getting out of hand.

Aye he did, there could have been alot more yellows and a red to be honest but he allowed it to flow which made for an exciting game.

where did i mention that Leeds didnt deserve it, we were awful and Leeds wanted it alot more then us. And rightfully so they got the result.

Ref actually had a decent game, didnt say anything about how he referee'd it. I was talking in general there which can be seen by the fact I spoke about players laying down on pitch for 5mins then being fine to get on in 30s of leaving it. That didnt happen in the game.

Throw in's, free kicks and players laying on the ground eat up so much time it stupid. You regularly see the ball in play stats show < 70minutes for matches and it annoying that such a large % of match is "out of play" situation.
Would rather that a match be 60-75minutes long. And whenever the ball is not active the clock is stopped. When play resumes then it started again, least that way you know where you stand and no managers can complain about added time

Thats the reason American Football games can take 4 hours when the balls out of play the clock stops.

plus all the entertainment etc they insist on having, and they get to discuss what they gonna do, and time outs etc. Lots of things dictate that.

I rather have be in a stadium for 2hrs to so 75mins of football, then be in the stadium 95mins to see 65mins of football. But that just me, it will stop all this bloody time wasting and "look at me im injuried.. oh wait no im not" antics

Hmm. Not really! They got all sort of weird stops, rules, commercial breaks.

European hockey should be used as an example instead that sports can work extremely well while stopping the clock when the puck/ball is not in play.

What a game yesterday  Just superb being there as part of the 9000 who outsang 66000. The team were superb, gave everything. Thought we were gonna throw it away at the end in "Fergie Time".

Still Norwich won so that's 2 clubs only 5 points behind us. Promotion is still there for the winning...and losing, Wycombe this weekend which is just as important as the game yesterday. We have to get out of this league into the Championship. Oh yeah, and somehow hang on to Beckford...

The refs can do that already, they just don't. I wish to god they would insist on them taking the players to the sidelines then not waving them back on for a few mins. Would stop all crappy acting very quickly or keep wankers like Drogba off the pitch for half the game ;)

Arsenal tie up a 15th new contract since May.

Abou Diaby, Henri Lansbury, Carlos Vela, Eduardo, Sanchez Watt, Alex Song, Nicklas Bendtner, Denilson, Robin Van Persie, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere.

If they all get a signing on bonus maybe we are broke lol ;)
