really enjoyed my time during this Beta, I took it easy tbh, only got a trooper to level 15, but I discovered what I needed to about the trade skills and decided the trooper was the class for me, I did one scenario, but I'm never a fan of those anyway and didn't want to burn myself out of them before the game was released. The real test for me personally will come when I am top rank and in the actual pvp zones.

I really enjoyed Rift but the lack of endgame pvp content was such a let down. I believe with what they are implementing, neutral planet with objectives and a FFA zone, I should always be able to get an orvr pvp experience. Which is the most important thing for me!!!!

I'll scream and yell when I get top level if all is as I dreamed :p

I think most of the people who are posting in this thread have joined Rule of One you were advertising, theres only a few that havent I think.

Rule of One are deploying tomorrow midnight, if you are looking for a guild on a PvP then please have a look at our recruitment page and see if you might be a good fit.

http://www.swtor.com/guilds/237719/rule-one

After deployment we cannot add anyone else to the roster until the game is up and running, if you want in then you need to apply within 24 hours of this post. Thanks.

Mind you, i probably make my first character with the name Corr, as at least that is a bit likke my daoc one :)

We will be using Mumble for voice comms during guild PvP and PvE events, don't worry if your English isn't great as we have people from all over Europe and even a couple of Scottish people that no one understands! :D

The mumble details are posted in the guild private forum, Mumble is a nice peice of software and when they do a plugin for SWTOR it will add positional audio. The latency is ultra-low as well and voice clarity is excellent, very handy for PvP.

Well ran the warzones, good cash and xp, got my articify to 180, archeology to 190 and treasure hunting to 150. Treasure hunting is expensive, but i guys most mission skills are...

Archeology seemed quite easy to level. Got it near 200 and only started it on the last day. Flys past once you got another companion and sending 2 at a time.
Think I be archeology, artifice and a mission skill when it goes live. Dont know which mission skill though.

Was tempted though to not take a mission skill at first and take slicing to try get rare schemetics whilst leveling up. However not sure if it worth it or not.

Anyone here actually had an easy time with the Consular/Inquisitor tank/dps subclass spec compared to heal/dps?

Personally i could solo just about anything bar heroic world bosses on my heal/dps inq, but my tank/dps Consular died so much even against "Tough" mobs it stopped being funny :(

Seems to be some proper imbalances between those 2 specs...

My Jedi Knight Sentinel could solo elites, so could my trooper commando, but the commando took them down way faster, even managed a champion on my commando, without heals.

Hard to tell so early in the game tbh, might be a totally diff story later :) the only reason inquis can solo so well is because of Vhem Kal tanking :p

What worries me is the 'up to 5 days' part they seem have to have tagged on to their head start stuff. ;/

I reigistered my headstart code in July so best get fucking 5 days.

After paying £60 for the deluxe edition I best get a 5 day head start aswell or i'll be demanding a refund and going to the standard edition.

if you arent pre-ordering it is the 20th anyways. And preordering wont give much benefit now as you wouldnt get mch of a headstart as it is based on when you put your code into the swtor site. guessing it be 3-5 days as opposed to 1-5 days though

yeah i suppose so. Besides, NOT preordering will probably give me a quieter time in the starting zones then if i preordered as almost everyone does that nowadays. :)

Doubtful tbh you'll still get a crap ton of people who just like to be old fashioned and queue outside GAME for 9am.

Mmm - been watching the vids on their website and trying to catch up a bit about the classes.

In the end I unexpectedly decided I really liked the smuggler - I liked the storyline and it seemed a bit more rounded - the jedi/sith look pretty but its tough to fleshout a stereotype. I like the cover mechanic (though its a bit unruly at times) and general playstyle too though I dont really know which advanced class I'd go to - cowboy hat looks cool tho...

My eldest really loves the game and wants to go Trooper so I'll have to figure out some complimentary spec - I think she wants to go Vanguard.

I wouldn't worry, i didn't really have a problem waiting for spawns in the beta everything spawns really fast.
Not some elites for bonus objectives.. :) Where in Courscant and there was this 1 last bonus objective elite that took around 5 min to respawn, and since someone else tapped it before i could. A trooper, i had to wait another 5 min, even thou he invited and i accepted but he had already tapped the mob and i didnt get credit.

Do you have to pre-order from certain websites for the headstart? Currently cheapest place is Sainsburys..... not sure its wise.
