heh, seems like they spend less and less time on these weekly missions. this last one were fucking horrible...

beam to a ship and spend 5 minutes talking to a prisoner.

It was bit short, yes. Would have been nice if you gave asylum to the that Breen, and had to transport him to Earth spack for 'interrogation', but get ambushed by some Breen ships on the way back, or something...

This weeks one was a bit lacking I'll admit. In the scheme of things though, I recon they need to throw some of this into the mix to see what works and what doesn't.

At least this time picking the right "medicines" worked unlike when they first initiated the "your ship is infected" mission and you had to pick the wrong answer to complete.

well, chances are that the final mission in this chain will have breen BO's as a reward.

it certainly would fit in with what that prisoner said about many breen wanting asylum....

at least he's honest about the lack of manpower.

makes it easier to accept the fact that klingons and all the future playable factions will never get content that competes with federation.

now they just need to accept the fact that the C-store is a fucking horrible idea.

Well tbh Ctuch, that's what I think they said as well, it says that the stuff will be available in game which is what everyone has been after for months.

yes i saw that, but they wont get rid of it.

the ships will probably be available with emblems, and they will most likely up the cost a fair bit more then the 500 you currently need for the retrofits.

so in reality ppl will still feel forced to buy them with real money then obtaining them the other way.

Well no, they will never get rid of it as it's a revenue stream. I'd rather the c-store though than in game sponsorship or all sorts of other crazy shit they could come up with if they wanted to.

i have my doubts about that store being a good revenue source.

now they might not have a choice with so few subscribers, but ppl have also cancelled their subscriptions because of it. or at least claimed it was the reason anyway.

so it could have done more harm then good, but there's no way to know for sure.

Keep wondering if I should resub or not, the ground stuff keeps putting me off. Are the Diplomatic missions any good? also is it worth resubbing?

I'd give it a go Pli, even if it's just to try out the weeklys to see if they're enough to entertain. I think season 3 will be the big change though if they roll out the changes to sector space, etc.

Have to admit, this weekends weekly was quite nice, mixture of space combat, ground combat and exploration.
I did think the ships would do more to run away though as I started pounding them right from the start. Especially as we've had other levels before now where you damage a ship to say 50% and then it runs across the map while backup appears to deal you some more damage.

and i was correct...

nice blue ground weapon to.

tho that might piss ppl off in ground pvp, its pretty damn OP even with the snare immunity that follows.

It's certainly a naughty gun. Very entertaining to be able to use it against people. Breen BO was pretty nifty as well tbh. All in all the weekly content is enough to keep me engaged with the game. I'm quite liking knocking off an episode a week, no pressure, just something new each week.

just wish the BO would have come with a mark X weapon instead of a VII :/

that was stupid imo.

Gotta say, been fighting some fucking horrid nausican groups in nebulas now I'm RA. Been harder to take down some of them than it was the breen. No wonder Piccard got shanked!

i think there's a bug somewhere in the difficulty code or something.

i've had that to on some maps where the mobs were hideously hard even on normal setting.

if you ever have to fight a boss on one of those maps, just forget about it :)

I did. Some form of Captain level bugger. Wiped out all his cronies and then he single handedly twatted me and my entire squad and my two "security" team members.

Worst part of it was actually the "trek" back through the level to be able to cave his skull in by way of revenge.

did you ever notice that the maps in general gets slightly harder the better items you have?

i can't say for sure but for me it almost seems like it.

maybe that's where the bug originate from.

I hadn't to be honest. I'll have a mess about and see what happens next time I login. That would make sense though.

New season started today, looked good but again, slightly to short.

i keep getting the feeling that whoever does these missions don't really get to finish them properly.

aye, tho cryptic is really fucking the ground pvp'ers over with all those insanely overpowered guns.

i tried a few ground pvp maps and almost everyone were yelling "NO EPISODE GUNS!"...

i mean, that arc beam really fucks over my engineer when he tries to use deployables.

Yeah, I'd heard that. To be honest though, I avoid ground PvP. I play Trek so I can blow shit up with my Enterprise-D :)

Aye, i prefer space pvp to. Especially now with the improved carriers. :)

Joined a game last night that had 4 Vo'Quv carriers all using To'Duj fighters...

Could hardly see anything lol. 192 fighters zooming all over the place :D

It's going to take a lot more content to get me to level up my Klingon tbfh.

I do bloody love the Ent-D though. It's the little things like enemies going for the Saucer thinking "easy pickings" then being fucked over because you can heal it like any allied ship, so they go toe to toe with it, I heal the Saucer and it survives easily while I then finish the pounding with the Drive section.

:D

lol, thats a mistake i wont do anymore. just got VA on my fed and tried the saucer separation in starbase 24, man that drive section has paper thin shiends, so thats what i'm gonna kill first on my klingon :)

Yeah, that's why I've got regens running on mine like a mofo. Saucer does some bloody good damage tbh. I quite like that it counts as a friendly ship, quite funny when someone does the detection grid and the saucer extends it.

I played the demo and was enticed into subscribing. Any tips for a lieutenant grade 6? There seems to be a lot to learn about the ships and combat, although the missions are getting a tad repetitive already.
