Yeh I am still learning about some of the stuff, going to play with SmartLoad tomorrow, where if I understand it, means the system can power off smart plugs if power gets low and it supports Shelly plugs of which I have several.

@Embattle Have just connected a Shelly smartplug to the Sigenstor Gateway. My solar system can now turn on/off this plug based on criteria. So this plug will have a heavy power usage device on it which I don't mind being turned off when low on battery/PV power. Oh and the plugs are on offer.....

There are some 16kwh home batteries available in the us/europe ( yixiang ) and a couple of others, ours are more limited but Fogstar seem to be selling the same units - 2k for a 16kwh setup.

So after yesterdays power issues in the area that FH Towers is located I thought I needed to revisit my solar system.

As you know it can act as a 0MS UPS but unfortunately due to the shit British weather there has not been enough sunlight to charge the batteries to a decent amount. Fear not there is an option in the system that can either automatically (need to do further reading as to the options) or manually take mains power and charge the batteries, ideal for when in my area we get a few minutes of the Sun per day.

So at this moment FH Towers is currently charging the batteries
