I liked reaper alot in the lower league matchups because people reacted so badly to them and you could actually deal alot of damage. When you get to play "more advanced" people that are used to reaper their only worth is the scouting information you get from them. The problem is that your game knowledge may not be good enough to put the piece together from the intel you get, so reaper opening gives you very little. It's also very easy and common rookie mistake to overcommit to reaper micro and slip up on macro. For me it comes down to preference if I open reaper fe, rax fe or cc first, I can easily do any (I never cc first in tvt though).

zela-589 is my bnet id, feel free to add

Thanks both, I had this feeling about reaper expand. I'm just not at the level where I can do much with the reaper other than check gas/expand/kill a worker or two, and my macro would usually slip a few seconds behind or I'd miss my starport reactor or something! But I did think, why would being low level stop me from learning properly? I could just learn some shitty cheese build and get up ranks higher but I did want to learn a build that would stand me in good stead for the future!
I think I'll go back at my 1 rax fe build for all match-ups - at least it will get me back into a rhythm - adding extra's was always pretty easy after the 10 min push on that and it was OK to transition into other builds.

Welp, that time again. Finally got other games out of the way and bought HotS: CE(was only 50€ in store, while digital normal was even more (y) ).

Not far yet in campaign, but it's great fun. Ofcourse starting straight off in hard as you do, great practise also. Not AS rusty as i thought i'd be...until i go for placement :p

Ofcourse i'm a bit "late for the show", but with starcraft i got about 3 years until next expansion and 10 for SC3 :D

Last season mine was like 30% ZvT and 70% ZvP. It seems like Z>P>T>Z which must be a real ball ache to try to balance.

Silver rank 21 after 3-2 placement. Better then i thought to be honest.

ZvZ lost to mass muta vs my roach.
ZvZ won by sending 2 muta in their base and then massed zergling with speed+attack(no one expects the mlg muta-dupe zegling follow :D)
ZvT lost to...well...marine marauder ball surprise surprise.
PvZ won with turtle proxy pylon DT.
Aaand....TvT won with 6 marines as they were still building stuff.

Random race as always(i know i know) and tons of fun.

That was perhaps a bit harsh, but i really dislike people like that in any competitive community.

Aye I got promoted to Silver yesterday. 7-4 w/l atm, I should have really gone in at the start after a 3-2 placement match stint.
Its not the whole ' bronze / silver are l2p scrub shits' anymore; The polarity between top bronze and bottom bronze for example is huge.

I haven't played properly for about 3 weeks and am rubbish again! It's amazing how much you forget in such a short time. If anyone wants to play some custom games let me know. It will have to be before GTA V is out though! :D

By the way, that's not to say that bronze, silver and gold are any good compared to diamond etc, but there is less definition between the leagues now than there was in the early days. A lot of people still playing have learnt the merits or learning at least a decent/generic build order, to get 50 scv's by 10 mins, start upgrades and hopefully avoid supply block. There such a wealth of knowledge around that it would be stupid not to read up on it!

Heh yeah, ahven't played since WoL came out really and got about 250 games in total. Just started yesterday in ranked so baby steps :D

I'm just now getting into the point where i manage 2 bases, now to learn how to avoid getting horribly murdered by a stompy army. I did manage to kill a large marine army with baneling mines. Burrow is so OP :p

haha come at me boiz

I actually meant like us doing some 3v3 or 4v4. Doesn't really matter if you are a noob at them; I don't really know what I'm doing either. I'm online atm and probably will be for the rest of the day if anyone wants to come on and play today.

God please not another toss!

Under groups on the bottom bar you search for Freddyshouse or smt, should be an option to join!

Assholes on the other hand...

Seriously? It was meant in affection, because games at lower leagues are so much more fun and relaxed compared to getting higher up where it's much more stressful and unforgiving. In no way was it meant in a derogatory way. Don't be so god damn touchy.

Yeah and it came off as patronising, go figure. Save that cute affection crap for your GF :p
