TvT is usually mass marine + tank standoffs or tank + hellbat combinations. When at larger economy some Thors also get thrown into the mix and reaching lategame with good eco there is a switch to skyterran with Battlecruisers, Ravens and Vikings.

It's pretty intensive. Deploying siege tanks half a second too late can easily cost you the game.

Anyone watching Stephano vs Thorzain? Some brilliant play by Stephano in the first game!

Haha, that one hero probe that survived!

I've been studying a lot of different builds and trying them out lately with a lot of success, which makes me regret I've not bothered doing it before. Especially my TvT winrate is getting boosted, but also tried out some builds that ripped through zerg. Protoss on the other hand is a tough nut to crack if not dealt with early on.

So I played 9 games this evening and got accused of maphacking about 4 or 5 times  Someone also accused one of my teammates of hacking randomly during a ladder game I was playing, then decided I must be hacking too when I defended his gimmicky bullshit build. People used to use balance as an excuse for losing; not really sure why everyone is suddenly decided that everyone else is hacking.

I feel like Dimaga would have done a lot better against MVP with his roach style.

Well they're going to be vs each other in the next round I think. MVP is really good at preparing for his opponents though. I think he's going to expect dimaga's roach style and won't play like he has vs TLO. We will probably see more defensive play with tanks and drops.

Looking forward to seeing Lucifron play. I've never seen him before but hear he's one of the best.

Yeah I think you're right. I think Dimaga beat him in the early stages though. Should be a good!

ZvP on daybreak and akilon is so boring. I hope they make more dynamic maps in future so this mass swarmhost strat doesn't become the new broodlord infestor

Yep. There was nothing the Protoss could do as soon as those Swarmhosts were settled in. Stephano's win was pretty much guaranteed but it still took absolutely ages for him to win.

Its not so effective on maps like belshir vestige and whirlwind which have way more space or attack paths for the protoss to use. If you try to sit a bunch of swarmhosts in the middle of the whirlwind then the protoss player can just go round and kill your bases before you can really do anything.

The Thor cheese on Akilion Wastes by LucifroN was fantastic to watch. Very enjoyable matches in that series. I also was impressed by MVP in the grand final vs Stephano
