The process is just 'idling' at the moment. First of all, there's Swedes abroad which votes we are waiting for. As i worked with the voting yesterday, welcoming voters to a polling-station, checked ID's and what not, also counting votes!

There's usually several discrepancies in the counting-business - usually there are several envelopes where there's for example two ballots, and thus, 'we' needed to send all those and other 'illegitimate' votes further for a committee to decide if they go through. So, we are waiting for those to clear on Wednesday. There's some give in the results for either side I'd say, but not much.

Sweden has always had a Nazi element, going back to the actual Nazis, but it’s a minority, even at 20% it’s still massively outweighed by non-racists.

As for the argument there’s hard right representation in every European country except the UK, well a. It’s not true (I’m sat in a country that doesn’t) and b. So what? 10-15% of the population are always right wing anyway, so you can argue this is still “normal”.

To be honest my biggest concern is the increasing weakness of the centrist political parties across Europe, which is more complex than knee-jerk anti-immigration sentiment

They (SD) are not in power though, and there was an agreement between all other political parties to exclude them from all negotiations and political decision making back in December. As for 20%, when you see a problem that overshadows everything else, and there is only one political party that even acknowledges the problem, who are you going to vote for? I am surprised it was only 20%, I expected 25 to 30%. So another 4 years of the same political parties in charge, more of the same incompetwnt and ineffective government.

They have some pretty deep problems that the political elite are unable or un willing to to address, I will lis a few:
Insane number of 3rd world immigrants. I'm at work so can't go dig the stats up, but it's the equivalent of adding the population of 3-4 Bournemouths every year, just from family based immigration. Add in the economic migrants and other refugees, and that's a staggering number of people. Add this to the fact that white ethnic Swedes are leaving in their tens of thousands every year. Conservative projections puts ethnic Swedes as a minority in less than 50 years. Scaremongers in as little as 25. I suspect it will be somewhere in between.

Wouldn't be so bad if the new arrivals were tax paying and productive members of society. UK and the USA are lucky, they get the best immigrants. The worst seem to have gravitated towards Scandinavia, and Sweden in particular. There's a newspaper article a local police chief admits that the local gangs have won. Send in the army or let them have it, he is done. And it wasn't even Malmo, a place so dangerous that a Somali woman said "This place, too dangerous, I'm going back to Moghadishu". A lot of it stems from bad policies in the 90s .. take refugees from conflict zones and put them all in the same area. The rate of poverty am ing pensioners is way higher compared to other Scandinavian countries. Work all your life, then get treated as a second class citizen by your own government.

As a journalist, if you write about any of it, you will never work in the media industry again. If you are a civil person, and you mention anything critical related to immigration, you are branded a racist, and will likely be fired from your job, banned from your sports clubs, and persecuted by Antifa types until you move to another country.

The political elite live in a bubble. They promise that if elected, they will begin to tackle these problems. The same people have been in charge for decades, and things have not gotten better. Sweden should have been paradise on earth, a true socialist workers paradise. They screwed it up badly. If they are lucky, things will stay the same, and there will be 2 parallel Swedens. Current Swedish population is about 10m. Eurostat projection for population by 2060 is 14m. 7.5m of current population are "native" Swedes. So unless we're saying Swedes are either all going to leave or have zero babies, a minority Swedish population isn't going to happen. And Swedes aren't leaving the country at an appreciably greater rate than they've ever done:

There's a difference between refugees and immigrants. You can't quality control refugees. But as it happens, despite Malmo (oh no a port city with high crime, the horror) Sweden has done a better job of integrating Bosnians than Denmark has managed, with second generation much closer to the rest of the population in terms of employment and education levels. Running around claiming the sky is falling in on the basis of first gen refugees is a fool's errand. I’d argue that Sweden has learned a valuable lesson; that there’s nothing to fear from a refugee influx every 20 years or so.

It's well known that Swedish lawmakers broadened the net of sexual crimes so much in the last decade that looking at someone funny gets you locked up. (See, Julian Assange) The rate of sexual assault hasn't gone up, the definition has widened massively (the biggest jump was the ban on prostitution).

True of all EU countries, because there’s a demographic crisis in play, which is a motivation for allowing so much immigration. If you have a birthdate of 1.8 (and by the way the second gen immigrant birthrate is barely 0.1 higher) then something has to give; what’s so galling in Europe is the current generation of OAPs are fucking over the next generation with their xenophobic bullshit.
