Yeah, I am spending a good few days getting it to look just right then going play the fuck out of it again. Got next week off work too.

A peasant mate is coming to stay for a night too. Going to convert another to the master race...already have two binning their consoles and buying gaming PCs. They are totally fed up of having expensive consoles and no games to play on them, plus they have seen how much my PC blows their away on battlefield 4 for graphical fidelity. Same game but worlds apart.

Hey Dude, can you let me know what sort of performance you get once it's up and running? I don't want to overmod and end up with 20 frames per second. Unlike @TdC , I'm greedy and need to fill mah belleh with frames.

It seems pretty good, just started playing though so only seen 1 town (using the random starting area mod)

Finding draw distance a bit of an issue, one of my mods seems to be blurring it a little. Installing a distance mod to see if it improves things.

Learnt to live with the draw distance, it isn't that bad really.

I kept crashing to desktop randomly and couldn't figure out why. I think I may have fixed it by removing "enhanced blood textures" the reason being I noticed that it crashed at the exact time you meet the group of people twatting a giant, just at the point a weapon connected. Seems OK now but cba to do any extended testing tonight after much fiddling with INI files.

Getting there, won't be adding any more major mods, just a couple of tweeks.

If it's not the blood, could also be a questtrigger malfunctioning (though doubtful any mod would affect that scene). Or perhaps loot tables, just to throw it out there.

could be, but I have enhanced blood and my Skyrim hasn't crashed in over a year. check your mod load order. my EBT is somewhere in the middle.

Found the source of my crashes, turns out it was the Sounds of Skyrim mods don't like Climates of Tamriel and related Supreme storms mods.

I use a different mod, have to check out which, you can pretty much adjust anything. I for one prefer to get less gold for loot, less xp overall etc. I like to keep the merchant gold relatively low for realism and challenge as well.

Oh by the way, simple thing that usually modders don't bother with. Open your console ingame;

set timescale to X

X meaning how many ingame miutes one real minute is. So if you want a 8 -actual- hour day cycle in skyrim you do "set timescale to 3"

You can adjust your fov in there as well. And peoples sex. Ahem.

How do you change the FOV? I tried a mod that claimed to do it but just CTDd at load. The FOV is a bit consoley really and actually surprised they didn't include a slider in game.

I've usually just opened console(with the...i think tilde key is default? Next to 1 on kb ) and typed "fov 85" or some such, but there's a permanent fov change as well;

"

1. Go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
2. Open SkyrimPrefs.ini, and search for [General] section
3. Add fdefaultfov=XX at the end of the section. (where XX is the FOV value you want to change to). For example add fdefaultfov=90
4. Open Skyrim.ini, and search for [Display] section
5. Add fDefaultWorldFOV=XX (where XX is the FOV value you put in fdefaultfov)
6. Add fDefault1stPersonFOV=xx.0000 (where XX is the FOV value you put in fdefaultfov)

  After implementing these instructions it is recommended that you change Skyrim.ini and SkrimPrefs.ini files to "Read-only" files. Located at C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\ [Skyrim.ini | SkyrimPrefs.ini]

Do this by right clicking on the files and opening their properties window, then place a check mark in the Read-only box. @TdC - That Beautification Project ENB site is awesome. I'm about to fire up Skyrim for the first time with my new ninja pc (only played this on the 360) and am seriously excited about installing all these mods and the ENB. Anyway - nice linkage

I think I have spent 15ish hours modding, testing etc this week ready for my week off next week.

Even replaced the coins, they are now pound coins.

Not changed a whole lot regarding gameplay though, my only concessions are the NPC gold mod as I cba to keep using the wait function for 2 day cycles to sell all my crap. I have also added a lock pick cheat that shows you were to pick, picked a stupid amount of locks so cant be bothered to play that sub game any more!

The last mod I intent to add tonight is something that allows me to sell stolen stuff to normal vendors, I just think that whole mechanic is silly, as if they would know its stolen! I am pretty light fingered when I play so end up with loads of it.

steady FPS eh? post your mods plx! I mean, I had all the tave* mods for the different major towns, and my Whiterun was so intense that it took me down to like 15FPS lols. Pretty as hell though...s'long as I stood still
