Am playing an Assassin and its great fun watching those x15 hits with dual dagger sneak attack, the game turns into a little puzzle too every time you step into a dungeon you have to work out how to kill a group without being spotted.

I'm going to start doing the main story now as I want to know wtf is going on lol

If you join the dark brotherhood, you get armor where the hands have 2x backstab damage. So you do 30x damage with a dagger sneak attack then.

I started to enjoy it a bit more, but no playing it for a few days at least until i get back to my own home! Bah. Then it is carer time unless she sleepy for 2 weeks. lol.
Still mainly a flame mage type guy but working on smithing as well and use archery quite often. Gots skill points to spend but nothing to spend them on really at the moment as nothing jumping out at me.

Will decide what be doing at some point though. Not turned in the first dragon quest thingy though I now killed about 3 other dragons since then on my random travels. So much running around to do in order to get to most of my quests that I currently have so slowed down on it a bit. Need to try remember where I got some quests on my first few hours mess around play (to see if i could be assed with it so wasnt collecting things to sell for money) as i know in one of them I got a ton of iron ore. . . as mainly using that for daggers currently as seems to be the easiest levelling way.

Once smithing is done I dont know what I will do. Done a fair bit of alchemy but that seems stupidly slow to level imo. So wont be doing that. Maybe I do enchanting so I can make some nice armour or something. Hoping the dragon bones/scales I collected are used in ubeh armour making.lol.

Save the dragon bones and scales for dragon armour (100 smithing)

If you haven't got a house yet then get one asap to stash your gear, the one in Whiterun is the easiest and cheapest to get. Speak to Proventus Avenicci in the dragonsreach, do a quest for him and then buy the house for 5000 gold.

Enchanting is a massive pain in the arse, you need to get yourself a soul trap weapon before you do it seriously. After that it is a very long process. Save any crafted weapons/armour/jewellery you make for enchanting.

I have filled up barrels in Whiterun near the smithy area. Dont think they will disappear from there. lol.

I got a soultrap weapon. Think I actually got 2 (or i sold one) . . . . just not sorted out how to use them. Think one is something stupid like 3second timer on it and another was maybe 6seconds. Will need to see if they are in the barrel. lol.

Currently got about 100 weapons in a barrel currently :D
Though been selling the armour I made so far (just crappy helms etc if im out of iron but got leather stuff) just to make sure i always got plenty of cash. Think I got 10k or so gold currently.

I believe I have left it at level 10 or so, so not many skillpoints gained. But not put them into much other then destruction and smithing. So at that level I think I got some more remaining. It is annoying how long destruction is taking to level up mind you, sure archery is going quicker and i dont use it much. heh.

Well got rings and neckies from skilling up my pickpocket to enchant, but the soul trap weapon is a pain, wonders if it works on bows... :D Is there any fortify enchanting gear out there? only found smithing, alchemy, etc.

the first few levels go fast if you abuse the archer in first town. Skill up archery, get money back from him, got lvl10 shortly after escaping from helgen, and getting the first claw key. Also get a pickaxe, on my 2nd char ive noticed alot of ore veins around whiterun. And also loads of alchemy mats around pretty much everywhere, flowers, butterflies, glowy bugs. And to get sneak up at start, learn where the deers are and stalk them and kill them with bow. Thus you get plenty of leather aswell...

And can add, you get free "safe" storage in the mage school. So could be a good quest line to pick up at once...

My char currently lvl62, got 190.000 gold, owning buildings in Markarth, Winterhold (Ulfrics town i think) and Whiterun, the jarl in Markarth would not let me buy house until i helped stormcloaks replace him, Riften wont let my buy currently either, completed thieves guild and darkbrotherhood quest lines, just "restarted" companions one since i manage to glitch it by exploring the cave where you had to wipe the silverhand. So had to wait 30 days for respawn and use player.setstage C05 0 to start the quest with Vilkas.

And still running around with the Dibella Statue for Lisbet since i cant find the bitch anywhere...

Just a tip for everyone, that power-skilling smithing/enchanting and applying stacked bonuses while crafting can make your playing experience much less enjoyable. Basically due to additive stacking bonuses to enchanting/alchemy/smithing, you can make gamebreaking weapons and armor. Unless of course you enjoy 1-hitting anything in the game :)

Yeah, I think next time I play through I will limit myself to items found/rewarded. My current gear is silly, full dragon armour and a full set of crafted/enchanted ebony weapons (not got the craft skill for daedric) On hard mode the only enemies I have problems with are duel wielding briar hearts and that's only if I let them get close enough to touch me.

This play through I am not touching the companion or magician quests, done both thieves and dark brotherhood. Going to get myself turned into a vampire and finish off the main quests I think.

Next play through I am going to aim for a heavy tank/caster hybrid.

I just want to make things, wont end up one hitting things though because I wont be using weapons as mainly gonna be magician type... so fire and conjuring are likely the main focus. May put in some ice. Archery will go in there also with heavy armour to protect my weak frame :)

I definately prefer to let my gear follow me at a sensible pace. Am currently lvl 24 and wearing crafted orc armour with +50% magicka regen and using my upgraded skyforge steel with cold dmg. If I come across a baddie I can't defeat then I'll upgrade my gear, I've certainly got enough dragon bits now to make some superb kit. I plan on ending the game in uber kit but working to get there! Anyway, how can I level my 1-handed skill if I one shot everything.

Theres a guy in whiterun that gives you a quest to get the family sword. Once you done this quest he then gives you the option to skill up in 1 hd for a price. You can keep doing the skilling up if you have the gold :) it only does it 5 times per day i think...

My character is level 15 thief with high archery i think 45 ish with elven armour which i found and bought and an elen bow yum yum. Last night i was on the way to rescue a person for whiterun and i found some caves on the way. One of the caves was huge and at the end of it was a death something lord! Ffffing hard boss but i abused the rocks where he continued to run but going no where, so killed him eventually. I just wish the ai was better.

im playing as a spellbladey type so im limiting myself to elven/glass (as in light) armor and any interesting trinkets i find (like the morokei mask thats +100% magicka regen).

makes the game more interesting and roleplay-y thank just tanking up in heavy everything

I have read online that some doorways are too small for the werewolf to fit through. I havnt come accross this yet! Although i have only just turned into the ww so i might come accross the problem you have eventually.

ive started on a new char on the laptop, assassin type, doing all the Dark Brotherhood quests.
every time i do a "job" to kill someone i take all their stuff, and leave an Embalming Tool on the body :)
and ive start sabotaging the upper-middle class. i go into all the big houses and hostels, etc, and murder all the cleaning staff + cooks. dont want to kill the proper people in case i need them later for something :D

Galmar Stone-Fist has disappeared. And I'm half way through the Stormcloak quest :( have to reload to before I finished the main story to fix it.

Fixed it :) I was stuck on the jagged crown quest, and somehow the game had continued to go through the next quests but stopped at this point. Used a console command to end jagged crown quest and hey presto, there the ugly bastard is.

Just started playing this a few hours ago and I think its going to be a great game. Just finished the golden claw quest, loved the atmosphere in that crypt place, tho I'm still abit rusty with the melee combat. :)
