I want aswell.. why so many good games at once?
Do I need a megahorse of a PC to run this.. or will one that struggles to run DAoC handle it ?
try and run this with a pc that struggles with daoc and your house will implode.
You won't get very far with a PC that struggles with DAOC, however my slightly creaky 3 year old PC (I am replacing it at xmas) with a mid range 5 series ATI graphics card runs it on ultra settings, though I have only got as far as creating a character and about 5 mins in while I had my morning coffee this morning so not sure how it runs when there is combat and whatnot.I want aswell.. why so many good games at once?

Jaw dropping though, the draw distance is amazing and I don't think I have seen this much detail in textures before.
This game is AMAZING, worth every penny. And might be the best game of the year by far!
The game was made for consoles, but runs better on PC(Higher gfx resolutions). Is it better on the PC or the 360?
I'll take kicking back on the couch with a 50inch tv and bottles of beer and snacks then being hunched over the PC desk any day of the week.
I simply refuse to shell out the money for PC upgrades when there is maybe 1-2 games a year if that worth buying on PC these days.
Each to their own though, killed my first dragon earlier
Console games are normally more expensive than PC games though.. normally around £10-12 on release...
Say you are buying 20 games a year that's £200 you could have saved to get a PC upgrade.

You can get away with spending £400-500 max every 2-3 years then you can play the latest titles, not on the highest possible.. but close..Console games are usually £35 mark these days if you shop around, big PC releases are almost exactly the same price as console maybe £5 cheaper.
Don't get me wrong 3 years ago I was spending the cash every year to upgrade my PC and it isn't cheap if you want to play the latest games at maxzor settings.
However the golden age for PC gaming is well and truely over and it won't be back it just doesn't make sense to be upgrading for 1-2 games that are worth buying on the PC these days.
You know, i take the hassle of a PC over having brand new consoles collecting dust because there's fuck all interesting to play on them or only using them as DVD/blueray players...However the golden age for PC gaming is well and truely over and it won't be back it just doesn't make sense to be upgrading for 1-2 games that are worth buying on the PC these days.
