Turn it on and watch the irish prime minister being called to task , this is hilarious , thank god the IMF have been called in :cheers:

And the Irish government implemented a policy of major cutbacks at the start of the year on a similar scale to what the Con-Dem alliance has just done here in the UK.

And they were, just like the UK was, praised by the IMF for the action they took. All it did was send their debt higher...

No whats happenned in the last week is major , they basically said we are fine we can handle it and rumours of them looking for a 45bn loan form the IMF were floating around which were publicly denied but now the IMF have moved in and the loan is actually happenning to they actually lied to the irish people live on TV :p

Also the same conference when on RTE our national broadcaster was cut short when the hard questions were being asked , i watched it on Sky news , such corruption :(

It's nothing to do with their cost cutting though. Ireland is in trouble because their property bubble has burst in a massive way. It was always going to happen, everyone could see it a mile off.

It's been coming for a while though, a bailout has been likely for quite some time.
