I had to google it. Egads! How can you even look at it?!

Looks OK on my screen, like any other news site.

Reading a bit about the guy who kicked it off and it seems to be a pretty decent, non leftie bollocks site.

Right(ish) but plenty of inclusion.

Still probably leagues ahead of the guardian and Co for non-biased news.

Fucking lol!

It looks like a campaigning arm for Donald Trump.

It probably would do to people who get attached to something immaterial, its understandable. A conservative American news outlet in discussing the conservative American front runner shocker.

They also seem to have backed Obama over the whole "You aren't really American" bollocks that went round a couple of years ago and have also sided with the gayers. But don't let that get in the way of a bit of mock indignation.

I don't read it, never heard of it until today. Just commenting that it appears to be a reasonable news outlet that is perhaps a little on the right wing side but on balance has supported a few leftie things too.

Precisely - no different to the Grauniad's love of Comrade Corbyn, but without the rank hypocrisy over MNC Tax Affairs (for those not aware Guardian Media Group route most of their cash through Luxembourg, then on to the Caymans).

There's a lot on Breitbart I do tend to ignore - i.e most of the Trump and pro-life stuff), but they're great at keeping SJW's in check, and are one of the publications that don't take the man made part of Global Wombling as a fact. I do prefer Spiked however, some excellent articles on Free Speech and the Health Nazis.

I do count you guys as rabid right wing so I can easily see how your eyes smoothly drift over that website rather than feel like they're being dragged over hot coals.

But, for me, a website set up by a guy that used to give keynote speeches at Tea Party conventions sets all sorts of alarms ringing :)

Yes, but to be fair, Karl Marx is fairly rabid right wing compared to yourself :)

Last time I checked however, rabid right wingers don't tend to be Pro-Choice Atheists who think we should stop pissing about with the War on Drugs.

I know you do, because you are incapable of seeing the bigger picture, that's cool though, keep it up.

Breitbart does stand firmly with the rape-threat-twitter-pricks over GamerGate. Indeed, one of them has a column there.

I'll assume you mean Milo. He was on the BBC last weekend, and the "journalist" who tried to string up Sir Tim Hunt challenged him on it, and accused him of making death threats on live TV. She was forced to publish a retraction two days later.

He was also on that Troll Hunters program last night with a very reasonable line of argument - if people on the internet are saying nasty things, you need to grow a pair, or if it's really affecting you, turn off Twitter/FB etc. Seemed fair enough to me.

So when his fanboys create fake twitter accounts making death threats and rape threats to young girls that's fine. It wasn't actually his account and no one has done anything wrong?

I'm not saying there's an easy legal solution but Milo is still an utter prick.

I'm not entirely sure he can be held responsible for the actions of others on Twitter - and he did cover that last night as well, saying if you get rape and death threats then you need to be taking those to the Police.

From what I saw of GamerGate he simply appeared to be standing up for the gamers the gaming press were keen to throw under a bus. And more intriguingly, a lot of what I considered to be real feminists (i.e the non-SJW ones) were firmly on his side.

the GOP has abandoned its role as a national governing party. It has seized Congress not by pursuing an alternative agenda but by campaigning and staging votes against anything Obama says or does. The party’s so-called leaders have become followers, chasing the pet issues of right-wing radio audiences. Now the mob to whom these elders have surrendered—angry white voters who are determined to “take back their country” from immigrants and liberals—is ready to install its own presidential nominee. The Trump-Cruz takeover is the culmination of the Grand Old Party’s moral collapse.

Not really the point.

Anyway. Better journalism on Trump:

The Republican Party Is a Failed State, and Donald Trump Is Its Warlord

Lol. Slate.

You can't complain about Breitbart then bring out an article by the poor man's Huffington Post.

Anyway I have no horse in the US Presidential race as frankly, there isn't a single candidate I would trust to run a country.

Hillary is corrupt and dodgy as hell, Bernie hasn't quite explained how he's going to pay for the milk and honey he's promising, and Trump is, well, Trump. Hardly an inspiring selection.

Yeah, and UKIP supporters, it's like a way of trying to ridicule people who consider certain things as racist.

Shouting racism at everything is certainly racist on its own merits. But that word, wow, new low.

Sure, absolutely, but the issue with toning down racism & political correctness (Which I agree with - I live in a city where white people are a minority, and businesses struggle to sack shit workers without being called racist)

But to stir up a bit of off-topicish debate; I own a small business which means if one person is off work, the business notices it and suffers due to it.

So I have two people;

A) a Muslim man who says that he needs every Friday off to pray, and if I deny him this right, I'm considered racist, but I can't employ him for this reason - I need him there.

B) a 25 year old woman who has just got married, I'm sceptical about employing her, because for the same reasons, she's young, just got married, kids on the horizon? Having a bunch of kids will surely damage my business and the people I employ.

So for the sake of being realistic, both are poor candidates for the job, but it's sexist and racist to be truthful about it - and it's not politically correct.

I'm sure many people around would argue that it's right not to employ person A, because it's a consistent factor, however B is more or less stereotyping the person to potentially be a problem, to bring it back to your point - is it political correctness that we're addressing here, or are we trying to redefine racism?
