Sign the petition for a third European English speaking server.

Ask, petition all you want, it'll not happen unless it's a co-op server. Something to give extended life to DAoC - Europe. With SWG and other MMORPGs coming out soon, I quite frankly think it stupid to ask for a 3rd standard server when in a few weeks, the existing servers will start to lose numbers for a while, or even permanently.

Seriously GOA, with the consideration that Germany have 5 servers, France 3 and English-speaking only 2 - we should get a third DUE to there are 3 diffirent realms in DAOC! US have around 14, and i think you should do Gorre as Pendragon is.

Where does it actually say that you get the ability to play all 3 realms... with all 3 reams chars stores at one time on one account?

Lots of people can't even be arsed to play on 2 "normal" servers, and due to many French and Germans having a good grasp of the English language they don't really get 3 and 5 servers - more like at least 5 and 7.

Advertising in the UK probably won't do THAT much good either - the Euro-DAoC name has been tainted in the media by the buffbot and slow patch issues.

And co-op? Unless I'm missing something about this server type... sounds bloody boring to me. Haven't we all bashed monsters all day long enough?

In this game not being able to play the third and final realm is like playing EQ and saying you can't go so far north of the final 1/3 of the map cause you are english. Our 3 realms each are not as big as a single mmorpg map but combined together they are but we can only play 2/3's.

We may not have the player base but this isn't entirely our fault, I remember in the early days there was serious flammage because the game lacked advertising in the UK.

Tbh I feel very sorry for Kemor he works hard for us and I honestly think he doesnt get the support he needs or he is doing this alot of the time :wall:.

Now I firmly believe the 3rd realm wouldnt ruin our two servers, RvR isn't always that great or busy and thats the time to switch to a different realm. In fact I reckon the rvr on the final server for the UK would be small scale and based purely on skill.

Now I have come to realise GOA's language its £'s. My addiction comes at a price and GOA want more for only 2 servers. Im sad to say many of my friends are/will be leaving the game after subs run out and that will include me unless things change. Personally I haven't had bad support from GOA but I feel for all those who have.

GOA will not implement a 3rd UK server and they will not implement a Co-op one. If they do implement a co-op one then its probably going to be european wide and from my experience on camlann they don't stick to the stated language and have had generally a poor experience.

They should provide us with one if we are paying higher subs and thats that

You don't get money for nothing in this life the new money generated by higher prices should go into sustaining a new server

America has about 10 3-4 of those only have 300-400 peeps on them at anyone time

They keep them going, think new server would be perfect for the community myself and give new players somewhere new to begin

As for diluting the population what happened when Camlann came about didn't see the servers die any major deaths then?

In fact I reckon server pop unbalance is a pathetic excuse. Now "Our accontant says you can't have one" is. The same accountant wanted more money and now he's planning a lovely new holiday home in Hawai.

This isn't just affecting UK players either many friendly foreign people whose second language is english use the UK servers, not providing the third realm is damaging GOA worldwide.

Don't like feeling being treated "second best" just 'cause I prefer playing in an "international" community ...

Not that much affected personally, due to having access to two accounts, but still, would be good for everyone to have a chance to play in each realm on an "English" server, as is possible for the German or French speaking community ...

Third server would be bad - low population is a terrible curse (look at the US servers - anyone on a low-pop server flocks to the high pop ones just making the problem worse)

Or do we want another Camlann server out there?

I say give us a Gaheris-like server, but there's no need for a third english server atm.

I think I will sign in favour of a third server. Here's why:

I agree with Anima whole-heartedly... we need a third English server. I made characters on Camlann but stopped playing because I kept on getting hunted by purples. I don't see why GOA can't set up a third server... we're paying a lot of money as an entire playerbase as it is (they're also upping the prices in the UK). I feel no sympathy for game companies and their money-issues. We pay too much as it is for the service we get. Considering that GOA hasn't even implemented a customer support ingame, they are completely ripping us off.

I don't think that the population will be an issue. Tbh, Excal is overloaded simply because it lags like a bitch. I have a broadband connection and my ping is miserable at peak times. This to me means that a third English server would be good for us. I have a feeling GOA gave us the short end of the stick with Excal because of the serious lag problems. I know I am not the only person experiencing this since there are several threads on these forums complaining about them.

Another thing to keep in mind is that a lot of non-anglophonic Europeans are forced to choose the English servers because they cannot speak either French or German. We have a large population of Scandinavians, Dutch, Spanish, Italians, etc. Having a third server can do nothing but help them too.

There is also a major oversight that people have made in their arguments that if a person wants to play a third realm, all they have to do is go to a foreign language server. Uhmmmm... unless you have a French or German keyboard, you can't access some of the commands. If you have an English keyboard, you can't get accents.

I'd rather they upgraded excalibur + prydwen servers first before contemplating adding a third english server. I also doubt that there would be enough demand/interest to warrant a 3rd server. It will probably end up like camlann - immensely popular at first then end up with 400-500peak time usage...
