The game does have its faults like you mentioned however you cant pick and choose when you want the game to be played the way you currently enjoy it.

you have friends in daoc and you group with them. the game can be made more enjoyable when you share it with mates. when I solo though i do it because I actually get more from the game (sometimes) playing that way. You can only really test yourself and get respect for your peers if you participate in this side of the game as a stealther. but when I played it wasnt always possible to solo, and trying to when the climate was wrong could be very frustrating. those are the times to group up and go and grease things.
I also dont like the hassle of always keeping co-ordinated and near group mates. if i didnt want to solo I never would though.

yer it isnt particularly nice when you blast down a guy when there loads of you but then theres people out there that spare me and I do the same with them its never been a problem, when I play im on IRC if anyone pms me and says like "hey look dude im out doing some soloing any chance u guys can let me be" I would never say no.

if I see someone fighting in a 1v1 I have no compulsion to go in and ruin that fight for those 2 guys unless its people I really do not like. many times ill kill the guy who wins and also if its certain classes like WL's or BD's necros, most sorcs, I honestly dont care about adding on them, because I dont feel those classes really are played by people interested in gameplay and peeps that really like good dick swinging contests ( a couple of rare exceptions where some players of those classes let me be as well). peeps who do add randomly on everything really just contribute to bring out the worst in daoc. We all know how shit this game can be and how awsome it can be. The dick heads make it shit, the people with a little bit of respect and common sense make it awsome. as time goes by people seem to just have more respect for each other in daoc. by you still get these odd numbnuts that somehow think they are unique and cool by declaring how they will add on everything and anything with <insert random excuse> (I pay my subs ((lol, no shit)), its rvr meight, I got added on so I add on all etc etc). Peeps like this poster are just inexperienced, when they get a taste of the game at its best they would start to play in a manner which promotes this (I see this time and time again with various players who become good guys from experience). its just a case of some people being ultra thick and it taking a real long time to sink in.

Go to Beno area - some hibs/albs having duels.... if that's what you enjoy, fine... goto DC area........ have a fight, get 10 rr3 ns adds and a couple of noob charge tanks.. ghey, go back to Beno area, kill everyone to make it fair?!

Don't see how visible hibs think they can come right near beno/beno docks and only have duels when it's the complete opposite at DC.... more fun to just gank everyone at beno, then atleast you made ez rps and it wont matter when you're killed 10 to 1 in hib !

it all depends upon the sort of char you enjoy playing, some are better suited to solo play than others. Some require group coordination to work.

... most of the time i feel a lot worse about having a realmmate die when i could have changed the flow of actions and saved him, than when people tell me <cough> `not to help them` <cough>.

i tend to leave 1 vs 1 fights allone more than i used to (a relative notion at best ) .. no guarantee that people in my group do the same though :/

it`s a way of percieving the game... the other realms are the enemy and ANY quarter given or received ... is a present.
