Like I said, based on my experience and you and lethul have not proved otherwise yet. I'd agree if I were talking about the difference when I was 16 till now, but I'm talking in the last 6 years. Why is it that stubble grows back faster the older you get?

Well link me the proof then, I'm only going from personal experience, I could do without shaving for a week till I was about 24, and the time has reduced over the years, now I have stubble later the same day after shaving.

all south asians have a full on zz top beard by the time they are 14, fact.

its essentially what toht posted. the question i linked to answers the 'will shaving often increase beard growth' question and if you scroll up a bit you will see a part about beard growth thickening up to your 30s or 40s, making the fact that your beard growth has got thicker when you got older (past 24) perfectly normal and nothing to do with how often you shave!

I'm casting necro on this thread because I hope someone might be able to shed some light on my problem.

I have patches of irritated skin on either side of my chin. They itch and burn when I shave so I don't shave too often. I have to shave after 5-8 weeks though because the beard itching gets to me as much as the skin itching.

The skin seems tight after shaving with a red ring around the outside. After a day or so the skin will dry out and another day later will start to flake off in scales. Shaving itself only sets off a fresh bout, but I still get it even with a face full of hair. I have to comb through my beard to get the skin out (almost like dandruff).

Mrs.Zenith thinks it is psoriasis. I don't know what to think, but I've had it on and off for the last 5 years.

Any ideas anyone?

I agree with the above, my wife suffers from this on her legs, and when she shaves it burns her like fook. Get to a dermatologist asap and get something to treat it ease the burning.

I think its Somalian brain slugs, they burrow in through your jaw and then attach themselves to your spinal cord and control your actions. I shave down to about 2-3mm and use tweezers for stragglers on my nuts and lower shaft!
