Another UPC employe

Het is mogelijk dat mensen idd niet kunnen inloggen op sommige game-servers. Dit probleem is gister ( zaterdag ) reeds door ons opgemerkt. Wat gebleken is, is dat een hele range ip adressen is geblokkeerd door die server.
De server die die blokkade heeft begint met het volgende ip's:
ip:193.250.122.x
ip:193.250.123.x
De blokkade ligt dus aan de kant van de game-server die de chello ip range blokt. Helaas ligt dit dus buiten onze handen, wel proberen wij erachter te komen waarom de blokkade er is. Gedacht moet worden in de trant van hack-pogingen op de game-server vanuit de betreffende ip-range die dus nu is geblokkeerd.
Wij hopen dat we weer zo snel mogelijk worden toegelaten op de game-server.
(this is about Wolfenstein 3d.. no daoc..)
but it has the same reason why that guy cant not play

Its weird that the "HELPDESK" uchuh sas:
1. THat Ip ranges are blocked by goa

2. That the problem of connecting 2 doac : the routing 2 there server isnt correct, and there working on it .


Hmm miss communication ?
Dont think so, the big brains of chello are not working now, so the problem wont be solved till monday afternoon im afraid :/

Well. the helpdesk are just n00bs there.
read my post above.
That's a network technician (how ever you typ that :p)
He knows whats going on.
And as he said: That problem aint in our hands.
Sooo... lets wait for america to take some action

If it's not even clear where the problem lies I honestly don't see it solved anytime soon :/

I think this will take some time before they solve it because you have different ISPers and you also have GOA, thats the worsest combination you can get.

Believe me, the ones u call with are no network techn.
The just follow a script on there screen.
1% of them have technical background and is able 2 think more clear then others

There is nothing else to do but wait now... tomorrow is crucial, if they can fix it tomorrow well, all is fine if they can't fix it by the end of tomorrow... then this issue may be a problem for us for many more days :/

A friend of mine is still working there at the helpdesk, he has 2 work tomorrow, i will call him tomorrow i will post the real issue then

If I remember correctly: ask him to ask his groupleader to give this matter priority #1... seems things go faster within the Chello organisation the higher up you get ^^

REGIO Noord, thats N Holland en amsterdam - Flevoland en friesland,
The Callcenter from that is in Leeuwarden ;)

Looking forward to work tomorrow. I'm one of the lucky employees at the fine establishment called Upc Norway (that's chello). Going for some RL flaming when I get there. Maybe I even should get up uncharacteristically early for a change. No use. Helpdesk is never in before 9.

My sad story: I sent my girlfriend and daugther, away to my mother-in-law for the weekend. Invited two friends to show them the wonders of Daoc, trying to get them addicted. All in all, they were not that impressed though.

Then again we had a OK weekend after all. The Beer and Chess combo is underrated.
