lol @ ppl thinking that rvr comes automatically when you join a certain guild.

Dont see the point of making an rvr guild why not just join the guilds you all want to join and just make sure its in the CF AS that way you can rvr ur hearts away

Most rvr now is zergy anyways so its not like u cant find a space in one of the 5fgs going out :p

Cos I'm going to join the permanent exp / rvr group today, and we will make a guild also. No time to set up a guild from scratch next to that.

Besides, I rather join an existing guild :)p) than make a new one.

the whole point was to get a guild for the "leftovers" because some guilds have standards they dont meet so they just cant go and "join the guild they want". i dont give a shit anyway :p

guild with standards seem to be those at are having the problems
me thinks in time to come there wont be all that stupid shit with trials and stuff for new people as they will be desperate for peeps

doubt it.

only reason 'those' guilds will change in any major way is because of 1) their internal politics, 2) suddenly rvr becomes boring for everyone, 3) too many people start to leave the game

well from what im hearing A-R are having splits and VGN and then there was LA had some troubles

Im not saying the troubles are caused due to the sometimes l33t recruitment im just saying perhaps it should be relaxed as too many egos spoil the broth

you dont need to hear it, you can probably see it.

but read the above..

all 3 of those reasons are/were somewhere present in AR for it to go this way.

VGN don't actually have any problems but thanks for the concern ;)

As for too many egos - stereotyping because we're an 'rvr guild'?

Can't say I've noticed anyone going "I AM TEH WTFPWN" or displays of ego like that on /gu.

Well no one besides me anyway xD

Yeh i might.. but im a bish when it comes to that i think - i would try to make a guild with high standards (The right chars/ppl) - not so much a guild for leftovers

Stop... just a moment.... let's think this through.

When you say we need a new RvR guild, is this what you mean? Don't you mean we need more dedicated organised RvR?

Waiting: nobody likes sitting yelling LFG. So, how do we solve this?
We need lots of people all LFG in the same place or on the same channel. Do we need a new guild for this? Perhaps not, what's wrong with an old one? Older guilds are already full of people so there's more likely to be some people LFG when you log in.

Interest: We need to interest people more in RvR. Will we do this by making guilds specifically for RvR? Probably not. Why not take the RvR to the people, show them what it's about before they hit 50, take them out in the relative safety of 2 or 3 groups. Would this not be easier in exsisting guilds?

Skill: We want people to be good at it, but sometimes we won't let them join us if we don't think they are. We want someone to weild a sword like a master, but won't let them touch the hilt.
This isn't going to work and RvR guilds make it something that is far more likely to happen. Take people out into the frontiers, show them how it's done and the pool of proficient and dedicated warriors will increase.

So what is a RvR guild about? Flying the banner? Fighting under the name? What's wrong with the banner and the name that raised you?

That was a bit of a ramble....but it's worth the moment of thought isn't it?

Indeed too many people forget how they got to 50. But they pays there money i guess.
