The Gamer's Nexus video - First 10 minutes are lethal.
And if you look at the reviews, they really shouldn't have marketed them as 8k capable. They can do 8k in a few games with DLSS 2.0 upscaling like crazy from 1440p but native they can barely get over 30fps. If you want a 4k card, the 3080 is more than capable (I'd still say wait for AMD to announce at the end of next month), if you want an 8k card, the 3090 ain't it.
Aye for a birthday with a zero - I have brought two new lenses since however although one of those was 100gbpSomeone got a camera recently
Great. Something else we can't buy.
So no real point for the 3090 now thenNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition Review
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is the green team's answer to AMD's recent Radeon launches. In our testing, this 12 GB card basically matches the much more expensive RTX 3090 24 GB in performance. The compact dual-slot Founders Edition design looks gorgeous and is of amazing build quality.www.techpowerup.com
Plenty of other reviews around.
I got a 3070 for 690 ish a few months ago. Was direct from a reseller not a scalper. I love the card also. Couldnt justify the 1k plus for a 3080 from scalpers.Pre-ordered a 3080 on launch day (Sept 17th), paid £750 upfront for the Gigabyte Eagle OC from Scan, got called a mug for paying for something I wasn't going to see, card got delivered three months to the day on 17th of December. Given the way things have gone with stock, scalping and prices, absolutely no regrets battering the pre-order queue and paying up. Probably the best upgrade since the move from HDD to SSD all those years ago.

Well done. Just can't be arsed looking any more. It's too frustrating.Pre-ordered a 3080 on launch day (Sept 17th), paid £750 upfront for the Gigabyte Eagle OC from Scan, got called a mug for paying for something I wasn't going to see, card got delivered three months to the day on 17th of December. Grrr. Fuck everyone. Hope the world ends.Newegg.com finally has cards in stock, but a 1660 GTX is the same price I paid for my 2070 RTX Super last year. The RTX 3080 cards in stock are $2700 (WTF!) and shipping from resellers in China and Taiwan, rather than newegg themselves.
Overclockers have some stock of cards at the moment but all at inflated prices. £699 for a 3060 and such. Fuck that.If anyone wants invites to stock Discords (AIBs) or Telegram for FE - Just shout.
What's the RRP?I just looked at ebay and saw the FE 3080ti going for between £1500-£2000.
What's the RRP?
@Big G What card did you upgrade from?
1070 so it felt like a massive upgrade
I'm still running a 1070, but then I've only got a 24inch monitor so it'll still run everything at its max resolution without any issue.
I love my 3440x1440 display. Made aa big difference from a 16:9 pne i had. And metros is sexh.My upgrade coincided with a monitor upgrade (34" UWQHD) so the 1070 didn't cut it. Playing in UWQHD with max settings is an absolute delight on a 144Hz G-Sync display.
Metro Exodus also got a major overhaul last month with the "enhanced edition" which brought in much improved ray-tracing along with DLSS 2.1. It's a fucking treat for the eyes.
