So in what city/cities do you think this will take place? There has been talk about London, San Fransisco, Boston, Hawaii, Brazil, Asia etc.

Also what about the main character? Some say it will be a girl this time around..

Hawaii woild work as they would have one huge island test drive style. Also new terrain, new factios and a skip away from the usual GTA style of mafia-driven things. Though, hawaii five-o might take that away, unless they work on that basis.

What a waste of time

Pretty much like every sequel to everything ever, doesn't stop people wanting to play something a little fresh though. Replaying a game doesn't have the same appeal as a new, similar one.

Just hoping they go back down the San Andreas route instead of the serious tone of 4. 4 was a leap ahead graphically but a step back to GTA3 in terms of actual content and gameplay.

I don't enjoy the 3D ones much, at all. They've tried to cram too much into them, meaning the important elements (driving, shooting) aren't as smooth and well tuned as they could be. They lack the charm and the pure gameplay of the top-down ones, except GTA as that was shite.

Shit games, look shiny and get boring very quickly. Vice City was the only GTA I've enjoyed since the 2d ones.

So good, it's a shame it'll never happen again.

The 3D ones though initially fun, I always find tres repetitive before long - I always degenerate into genocide. I'm in agreement with Wazzerphuk - the gameplay itself isn't polished enough - for example the shooting / action in the actual missions just feels like a shitter version of something else.

Have to agree, the 3d GTA's are fun for a while, but to me it quickly felt like you were just grinding out missions.

2D GTA's were pro though, I might have to dig out GTA2!

My fave mission in all GTA's was in GTA2 where you had to load a bus full of Krishinas and turn into Hot Dogs, then drive round in a hot dog van selling them. You didn't get anything like that in the 3D GTA's
