Anyone play this? I went out and bought UT2K4 for it and its incredible.

Tanks have just been introduced aswell. I love the realism in this thing, no crosshairs, iron sights only and its very nicely paced.

Check it out

Damn, I was always under the impression that this was another cheap BF1942 mod.

I've been wanting to make use of my UT2K4 CDs, might download this tomorrow.

You must be on 56k mate :eek6:

3.1 has been out for a while and its now my most favourite mod ever. Beats CoD and BF into crocked hats! The tank maps still need work, still doesnt feel like fun but oh my gosh have they nailed the infantry maps. Some awesome maps and well... i play every night and thats a fairly decent appraisal in my book.

I thought u might show an interest throd :) Its basically a slower CoD, absolutely no crosshairs, full 3d model ironsights, realistic damage ie get hit, get killed. Im still learning the maps and sometimes the specifics seem a little vague but there is an objective map which helps noobs like me get around.

Im currently learning the art of MG using, gotta lie down to set it all up but the mg34 tears big holes in people as does the russian equivelant.

It really does play as good as it looks, its won the Epic megagames award thingy 3 times in a row which basically means the developers of this mod if tey win the last phase will get an unreal license to make a retail game so the quality speaks for itself really. I know its just another WW2 game but its soo good. The game doesnt need the tank levels, they just an afterthought imo but once it all works well together it will be the best game ever and as i said the infantry side of things kicks complete arse.

Small problem with the game is the small community... 35 odd servers but 5-6 to pick from every night and always full at this time (full in the sense you can always get a game) but the community is very good, TK's are dealt witth nicely and you WILL be tking a lot to begin with but a good system of forgive and forget is in place on most servers. Also its not a fast paced game, which i guess goes some way in telling why its not a massively overpopular game (bearing in mind what game it is built from) but thats why i am here. :)

I bought 2k4 just for this mod, and it feels like the best money i ever spent on a 'retail' game. Try it please.

But that did look good, UT mods look amazing , and i like no x-hairs too :)
Id buy UT tomorrow if it wasnt for the fact that Im skint. Dont suppose it works with UT2K3 does it?

I did try it, but unfortunately the head bob thing gives me motion sickness, something I seem to be suffering with on most games, except Source thank god :(
