Actually it lasted longer since that mic picked the peak only and he/she came back again 5 minutes later upon which I continued to hear it at a lower level as they raced along assorted back roads, which is highly annoying when you're trying to get to sleep. Add in the fact it seems excessively noisy and popping exhausts are becoming rather common.

Pops and bangs are for kids, and shouldn't happen on a proper engine map, except for stupidly high end-driven badly.
We have similar here, decent 2-3 mile straight, wide country road.
I've ragged it a few times, it comes out of a 30, has a dip, and a rail bridge over the top, peak acceleration is under the bridge, makes my little hot hatch sound like Mad Max's car, I imagine the beemers sound divine.

The leaflet for the takeaway and restaurant showed a 5 rating for food hygiene, but you can check on the website (Search for ratings | Food Hygiene Ratings) to see what they actually have, which in this case was now a 3 rating as of July 2024.
