When the only youtube video on the internet - the one you need to fix an annoying Android glitch - is narrated by a softly spoken Indian guy with a very strong accent playing loud music in the background with no subtitles available

LOL. My missus inadvertently switched on the child lock on our hob last night. Took us both about 15 minutes to work out we even had a childlock. I had to RTFM :(

Our washer apparently went out of production and I couldn't find the manual online. Had to go on some dodgy ad infested hell hole of an Internet site to get the instructions.

On my oven you just hold your finger on the lock key for about 5 seconds.

There is no such button or key. I had to hold a navigation arrow for ten seconds before it unlocked

It's randomly annoying how long it's taking to copy a paltry 6Tb of files from several different drives to one of my new 6Tb jobbies. If I leave 'em to it it'll be done some time tomorrow. So I'm copying drive and folder at a time sequentially. Knocking about 1/3rd off the time.

Sinusitis. Hopefully Sudafed and a couple of bottles of plonk should kill it off.

Being contacted on linkedin by someone claiming to have super urgent time sensitize uber project for you to get involved in

Hello Peter,

Thank you for accepting my connection on Linkedin.

I hope this finds you well. I wanted to reach out to you as one of my investment clients would be keen to speak with specialists to understand the software asset management sector. Given your experience, I thought you would be a great person for my client to speak to.

The consultation itself would be a conference call lasting approximately one hour and you would, of course, be compensated for your time. I know you must be extremely busy, but would you have a couple of minutes today to discuss by phone?

As this is a time-sensitive project, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Giuliana

Background radiatorn is about 0,27 microsievert/hour. Thousand times that is not near a lerhal does by far. No Idea of its half life though. Only beta particles so no sweat. Few mm of aluminum shields you from it.

Edit: 373~ days half life. Wrap yourself in aluminum foil and chill at home!

Couple of weeks ago 2 new front tyres £220 each. A week a huge bolt in one!! Unmendable. Service yesterday £600 including new front brake pads. Aaaaargh.

But over the last week the ESP light has come on three times, separate days. Diagnostics yesterday said no fault and its done it again today. always swinging right round different roundabouts. Don't mind the light flashing on it's the fact i lose power. Any ideas? It's never happened in 5 years so why now? I cannot believe there isn't something wrong.

Must be something if you are losing power . Does it happen on every round about?

Maybe they need to take it out for a test drive to diagnose the fault.

Check the ABS sensors aren't knackered, or the ABS rings fouled.

It's not impossible that oil surge is causing a drop of oil pressure and in turn the engine management system is going into some kind of safe mode (oil surge is where the oil washed to one side in cornering making it harder to be picked up by the tube in the sump)... have you checked your oil?
