He's not saying Police are corrupt at all.

He's saying that theres a way in which the Police must behave, and in this case theyve behaved incorrectly and should be pulled up because of it.

It's different to being 'corrupt' its more like they're Police officers not MI6 Agents.

If you start accepting every death of a criminal by the Police then you head down a dark hole - Police chase 12 year old who stole sweets, rugby tackled him and he cracked his head open and died, but it's okay, the kid was a criminal.

When he worked it out today, only cos I checked the postbox, we are in the middle of nowhere. He said Why didn't I tell him!!!!
