KLM have lost my baggage. Probably to do with the stupid Turkish "partner" airline putting it on the wrong flight. I spotted this on the baggage ticket, informed KLM in Amsterdam, and it still hasn't arrived.

Fucking annoying. They apparently have about 20 days to find it before I can go after them for compensation, but I need it next week. Cost of replacement is many monies.
Dont they give you like a fixed amount per bag? Or can you claim different values?

I reinstalled windows in the end.

Kinda pissed me off though spent like 3 hours fannying around for something that would have taken me a couple of minutes

€1,131 max per bag, which isn't enough to cover what's in it. Fortunately they've found it and it should arrive in Manchester tonight, but I may have to reassess how I transport my bits and pieces in light of researching that limit. Off the top of my head, main bag = £100, toiletry bag = £70, crane harness = £200, waterproof clothing etc = £200, clothing = £500, tools = £150. Not including the odds and sods that also live in there. It soon adds up.

Not when it's for business travel and when all the contents are paid for through the business (receipts for everything).

So it turns out I installed the 32 bit version of Windows 10.

I don't recall getting any option.

So we got a new fridge freezer which has at least stopped one lot of beeping. Had the electrician round and he has ripped the house apart ( he re wired it last year when we moved in) he can't find anything wrong! Says it's not the rain or the mouse that's tripping the fuses. So now I'm paranoid. Walking round with a torch as it is now pouring with rain AND the mouse came back last night. I hate problems with no logical answers.

Am so sick of that bloody orangutan before the rugby games. I've never wanted to slaughter an endangered species before.

Just found out that the Surface Book won't be launched in Denmark, and there are no plans of it happening :(

So will have to get one with an English keyboard.. It's alright as you can easily change the language output with two key strokes, but still sucks tbh

It will have been some accounts drone that cocked it up I imagine.

You should only be charged duty on the goods (I would check that too, to make sure its been calculated correctly) It should have some reference to an intrastat or commodity code on the paperwork somewhere, you can use that to calculate the correct duty rate.

NL does tax over total amount paid, which is goods + transport. in my case, I bought about 90 euros worth of tshirts, which is in the allowable no-tax segment. then I had to pay about 27 euros worth of transport, which pushed me in to the customs' "must check" category, and over the total the post now want me to pay duties, which is ~19%. I am kind of ok with paying duty on the goods, but I am really not ok with paying duties on the transport.
