On steam it seems pretty accurate.

I still couldn't find anything. It might be the game though. PGA golf. It becomes playable pretty quickly but half the game modes are missing, you then have to wait an unknown length of time for it to install properly for the rest of the game modes to appear.

The load times are traggic too, it claims to have none but what they actually meant to say was that they have stupid animations between everything that you can't skip.

Download times are simpler you justcompare what you have so far compared to what the total is and work it out based on download speed

For setups you can define milestones that are at 10%, 20% etc but its really tricky because there are so many things that can affect it (available ram, cpu speed, disk write/read speed, external tools used, etc etc)

Better off just sticking in a nicely progressing algorithm and input some data occasionally.

Also, users will happily wait for something that seems to be progressing nicely. It's a sikololologikal thing donchaknow :)

Trying to type a post on this bloody website on a mobile. Cursor is constantly flying about all over the shop, normally after the site saves one of its billion drafts.

Wtf is going on with the current season of Grand Designs? What a load of crap. I guess they don't have any projects ready to make episodes of yet.

It's not repeats or "revisiteds"; each episode is a kind of compilation of living in various environments (urban, countryside etc). I don't think they've actually shot any new footage with any of the house builders it's just excerpts from previous episodes with little, newly shot segues with McCloud in between. The first episode was called "Living in the City" and the second "Living in the Wild". It's a bunch of arse, I want to see one project on each episode not this cheap-to-produce filler rubbish. The revisiteds were bad enough but at least they had a newly recorded bit at the end.

Ah. I thought they were one offs not the actual series.

The living in the wild mini series was quite good.

They could be wonderful but they shouldn't be using the Grand Designs branding for them imo.

Meh. Hipster green-shit-of-the-month.

Indeed. I read with interest the latest discovery of seaweed that, when fried, tastes like bacon. Which would be great if we didn't already have something that tastes like bacon when fried. It's called bacon.

I would say that if you have some sort of disability that means you can't eat bacon (religion, vegetarianism etc) then the problem is with you, not with bacon.

I make a very pleasant chorizo and kale soup, I'll have you know! And I've been making it for years, look at me setting trends.

Yeah, but us civilised folk dwell on the mainland Cal. The Dutch have been eating kale for millions of years. In fact, my fave NL winter dish is prepared with kale.

Ofc everyone knows that the island folk only really accept turnips as vegetables. Sometimes that young upstart the potato is also considered, but yeah, mostly turnips.

I quite like it but most people I know find it a bit bitter to eat as just a steamed veg. Works really well in stir frys and dishes where there's other ingredients to soften the bitterness.

Daughter is trying to buy a house. First time buyer no chains. Has just received the big contract from solicitor dated over 6 weeks ago! 'Lost in the Post' so no chance of exchanging before she has to leave her rental. Soooo annoying, so inefficient. Useless.

Speaking of tasting nice, I went for a Five Guys for the first time the other day. Sweet mother of Abraham, it was utterly delicious.

Five Guys is awesome. I mean it's a Hipster McDonald's and is priced accordingly, but can't fault the burgers.

Handmade Burger Co in Birmingham is also awesome.

You went for five guys. Must have been split open like the channel tunnel.

It must be a northern thing i guess. Not seen down south

The word 'hipster' has no meaning at all any more, if it ever did. I you collected a list of things that people have described a "hipster-<something>", it would probably be longer than the list of things that the daily mail says gives you cancer.
