Workers wages are pretty damn good in Sweden, depending on the job you do. For example, working in a warehouse riding trucks and packing wares is a damn good pay. About 400k, which in my opinion IS a good basic income. Though, you're working your ass off then and also working some weekends.
Also, Norway, gotta be nr 1 up there on the income charts. Crazy peeps. Their oil and weapon financing.. Their first two years of 10% tax relief when you move there, vacation pay which is 100% tax free, and also december which you only tax half of your usual tax. We need to move there..

Pay is good in Scandinavia. Unfortunately, prices are not good.

Norway is one of the best places in the world to live from a disposable income perspective (along with Switzerland, Luxembourg and Australia), but Sweden isn't far behind.

disposable income
noun
  1. income remaining after deduction of taxes and social security charges, available to be spent or saved as one wishes.
"the rents of tenants in work reached 21 per cent of disposable income"

Yeah but think about those whose disposable is in the millions it raises the average up a lot.

This is why I dislike average this and average that so much. It doesn't really say much. The average might be 3k but if the mean is 300 then it's not so great anymore.

As i understand it, travelling to exotic locations for work is sh*t since it's a great place to visit, but you have time for f*ck all.

Aw, poor baby.
It sucks mainly because I have not had a weekend in close to three months now. I would think anyone would say that sucked. Oh and Mauritius was not great, we were in the Holiday Inn at the airport with meetings and equipment demos from 8am-6pm. No free time to take any trips or even go to the beaches Got back this morning at 5 am Dubai and went straight to the office to confirm travel etc. All I wanted to do was crawl into bed.

Got a day off school tomorrow to go to Gion Matsuri (big festival in Kyoto) but there's a fuckin Typhoon. I was just walking home earlier and I got my umbrella out and it immediately turned inside out and snapped.

Not really fun if you're working though, fo'sure!

One thing I always promised myself was I'd never, ever complain about international business travel. If you do it, it probably means you've got a better and more interesting job than most people, and probably get paid more, so suck it up. I don't even complain about getting up a 4AM to fly to Watford every other week. Watford!

This is the worst and most blatant humblebrag I've seen in a long time, I expect this on Facebook, not here.

Ouch. Just been weighing up the possibility following for the missus' golf:

Detatchable Towbar
Towbar mounted bike rack (thule)
Roof Rack
Rack bars for two Kayaks

Bill's coming in at over a grand before fitting

possibly. that said, if you have to do it, it's no fun at all. a coworker of mine has recently been sent to Finland, Hawaii and Malaysia. she's now in Frankfurt, Germany. She's told me that in the past 6 weeks she has only seen the inside of things: planes, busses, airports, congress venues, taxis, hotels. it may be better, more interesting and highly paid, but it's also stressy, very unhealthy and fuck no am I ever going to Hawaii only to spend 72 hours in hotels and congresses man. Sure, techincally you're there, but you're not "on a beach" there.
