Just got a new laptop for work as our 5yr old Dell is dying on its arse. It goes through the whole set up process, but trying enter the details as a business and not a single person is a pain in the arse, and it's first time I have used 8.1 too

A friend has flown with KLM/Air France 5 or 6 times in the last year - every time but one they have misplaced some or all of his luggage.

lol I feel bad for you guys. I fly fairly often and no baggage loss has ever occured, ever. (tdc is now hexed forever :( )

Fucking KLM did once sting me for 200 euros excess baggage because they didn't understand a mountainbike could travel on my ticket. They made me pay under threat of not flying, and I was real mad because there was no more time to get a manager to sort stuff out or whatever grrr. Was the last person on the plane :-/

funnily enough the same KLM, except on the Scots side of the flight ofc, understood this perfectly and gave me no hassle.

Air Chance are bloody useless. Not long ago they made big deal out of doubling the size of their facility at Toulouse Airport, what they neglected to state however was that the capacity was increased for lost baggage! True story.

Most airlines have a policy on sports equipment with much lower rates for the excess. BA for instance used to charge $25 for some Sports equipment whilst items such as Golf Clubs were free. Ground side crews are mostly unaware and will try to charge you the going rate per Kg (20-30$). If you know your going to take such equipment then it is best to get confirmation via email on the policy or if you can find their policy online print it out. I've been in similar situations and had to wait for a manager. KLM you have to request it to reserve the cargo space so best to plan ahead.

Air France are the only airline that's ever lost my luggage (so far, touch wood etc.) They're also the only airline that's ever overbooked us to the point where there were people sat in our seats when we got on the plane!

I've had many bad experiences with them. I was picking up aforementioned friends from Toulouse last year, when they were supposed to be arriving from Amsterdam (having flown originally from Bangkok and changing in Dubai iirc). The flight from Amsterdam arrived, everybody got off, I was stood by the carousel waiting... all the luggage got picked up... everybody left... no sign of my friends. Obviously concerned, I went to the Air France desk and said "BUH?" and they couldn't have been less helpful. All I wanted them to do was confirm or deny whether the people had boarded the flight in Amsterdam or not (they obviously hadn't) but they kept saying they didn't have the list or they didn't have access to the list or something. They made it sound as if it was my fault because I couldn't get in touch with them.

It turned out that he lost his phone and didnt have my number so couldn't contact me but they ended up in London and then flew down on the next day (without most of their luggage ofc). Still, I was very unimpressed with Air France.

Bureaucracy bah what a load of bollox entire systems are based in a 1920s view on how people live or move around so for me having moved countries 4 times they just block every little thing because I dont fit their silly system

When you want to buy something it could be anything, but all the models or versions you like are only available in the US or someshit; and also why does Britain never get the decent version of said item like a laptop with an I5 instead of an I7 (or a much lesser graphics card) or a tablet with a 32gb HD instead of 64gb etc.

This goes for most gadgets.
