Went to a beer festival at The Plough near Nottingham on Saturday. Their challenge was have one of each of their 25 guest ales and you get a t-shirt. I got the t-shirt, and had 3 ciders as well. I finished at about 1am and was surprised when I woke up at 7am on a mate's settee.

I was in Cannock Chase on my mountain bike by 10am on Sunday morning. Still pissed mind, I almost hit a couple of trees until I'd sweat my hangover out. But come 10:30 I was stone cold sober, no hangover, hooning down hills at ridiculous speeds in a borrowed helmet and laughing at said mate, who came a cropper big-stylee and ended up looking like an extra from the Walking Dead

I'm annoyed that i'm the crazy person for not wanting to hear every rumour, story or mildly related titbit of info relating to the royal baby.

I am resigned to the fact that the next 6 weeks are going to be "we heard this..." "the news said that..." on the radio as i drive to work, and then theres going to be the "oh we took inspiration from Kates baby blah blah blah fucking blah" for the next year.

So private then. My Dad had his first cancer treatments there (super-high-tech brachiotherapy stuff), I remember it was rather nice (and fucking expensive), and I had my appendix out there in the NHS side with the hoi-polloi.
