I dont think we do.....

What real experience do you have of any Muslim country? What xp do you have of Muslims apart from the odd one that you come into contact occasjonally in yor day to day life?

Your statement earlier that your laws are better then there laws just shows how narrow minded and limited in understanding you really are.

Ask any Muslim that lives in a Muslim country what they think of Western moral values or laws and i think YOU will be surprised to find that they think that your laws sucks and your moral values are non existent.

What you consider freedom in the Muslim world its known as living in sin. I know full well that YOU have a problem understanding that Muslims live by the laws that we live with not because we are forced to but because we choose to.

You have made the same points you are making in this thred many many times before across a hoste of other threads and in everyone of the threads you have shown a inability to understand that one hat doesnt fit every head. What might be good for you is not good for everyone else.

Your wish to be able to poke your little knob into every nook and cranny you can get it into, is not the same mentality of a large section of the Muslim world.

Understand this, just for once try to actually go beyond the idea that what you think is good is good for everyone.

He're s a question for Gorb, since you so blatantly ignore all points except yours;

If watching teletubbies was punishable by death, and you really liked teletubbies, would you watch it?

Either or, this guy most likely knew what he was doing and how frowned upon it is, yet proceeded to do so.

If it's illegal, you break the law, you face the law.

There is a fine line between law/government/order and belief imposing upon law.

In this case, it is my belief that religious beliefs have imposed the law upon the downloader, rather than the illegality of the situation itself.

It's hard to explain, but I think people need to be cautious about what is illegal with the law, and what is religiously illegal. The real question prompting this fine line is obviously, if me or you was to walk into this country, download an article of the same calibre, would the illegality of the situation be imposed on us as non-Muslim believers?

Oh and there are many ways to express happiness/suffering etc. economically/socially etc. but none that I can immediately think of that look at cultural/religious happiness/satisfaction. I wonder if such highly religious countries, such as Afghan. rely on the same economic/social indexes as the Western countries? Interesting.

P.S - Wasn't attacking your post in any way there Mr. Tohtori, just thought it made a nice quoting point for discussion.

I have very little experience with muslims. But have i made any wrong assumptions about the muslim world so far? When it comes whats allowed and what isnt i mean. If not, then i dont see the point of that comment.

They think that way because they have been brainwashed with religious bullshit all of their life. Its not just the muslims that feel this way. Ive met more than enough self-righteous christian assholes who think that they are better than everyone else because they waste every sunday in a church.

I have zero respect for people who obey religious values without ever questioning them. Im sure they think im a decadent man whore for enjoying my life and i think that they are retards.

Now if only they kept that bullshit to themselves, but they brainwash their kids too and raise a new generation of dickheads. That, and the fact that they try to impose their stupid laws (which they got from an ancient desert pedofile) on others is just unacceptable.

Ahh.. feels good to get that off my chest. Now i can survive for another month without ranting about religion.

edit: As for our laws being better: They are not perfect. Far from it. But can even you honestly tell me that the laws/moral rules of an average muslim country are better than the ones in Europe?

The point of this comment was to clarify that your knowlegde about Muslims is in fact based on assumptions and not through any real contact with Muslims.

They think that way because they have been brainwashed with religious bullshit all of their life. Its not just the muslims that feel this way. Ive met more than enough self-righteous christian assholes who think that they are better than everyone else because they waste every sunday in a church......

Well the exact same thing can be said of atheist assholes who seem to think that their way of thinking is the only way and that anyone that holds a veiw that is in anyway different to theirs is off course an asshole. Can you see what i am getting at?

I have zero respect for people who obey religious values without ever questioning them.......

If only you showed respect to anyone that held any knd of view that is remotely different to your own. You dont question religious held beliefs but go much miuch furtherthen this. You ask people to be respectful of your views but you clearly do not give people the same respect that you demand for yourself.

Im sure they think im a decadent man whore for enjoying my life and i think that they are retards........

Thankfully "they" dont know you.

Now if only they kept that bullshit to themselves, but they brainwash their kids too and raise a new generation of dickheads.........

The assumption being that they should off course bring their children up in the same way that you have been, otherwise they are dickheads.

That, and the fact that they try to impose their stupid laws on others is just unacceptable..........

Funny that i thought that Afghanistan was somewhere in Asia and correct me if i am wrong but its the west that has troops in Afghanistan and not the other way round, or am i missing something here?

As for our laws being better: They are not perfect. Far from it. But can even you honestly tell me that the laws/moral rules of an average muslim country are better than the ones in Europe?

Funny that i live in aMuslim country and guess what its far better here then in the UK. However, that is neither here nor there as the hole point that pretty much everyone is trying to make is it that one hat doesnt fit all. What is good for you isnt good for everyone else.

You respect our rules don't you? Or rules, most of them, are based on the bible.

The age old "but this is morally right" against our laws being religion based is bull, as our morals/laws are exactly from the bible.

Different religion, same bull. Only the great creator knows how ew're SUPPOSED to live.

Live and love may be more f*cked up in cosmic scale then "kill and murder for peanuts".

I don't have any problems with the people in general.. the only things I don't like about religions are the following:

Being able to put someone to death just because they did something thats against that religion is wrong. I don't care how you look at it or how many times you're going to burn in hell for not doing it - ITS WRONG

Being able to stone or beat someone to death because they failed to follow a very minor rule - ITS WRONG

No religion on this planet to day has the right to take away human life, for whatever reason.

Those that do so are no different than common murderers no matter WHAT their so called "Holy" books/scrolls say.

I don't have an*snip*/scrolls say.

Thing is, we do the same, just that we "evolved" from the crusader purifications to "laws".

That's what i meant by our society being sculpted by religion too.

Christianity brought the "thou shalt not kill" rule.

For example, in viking law, murder(kill someone whos asleep etc) was a nono, you'd get banished from the lands, but killing someone was ok if it was a fair fight and declared.

My point was it still doesn't give anyone a right to take away human life :) they didn't create there for they have no right to remove it.

And don't bother with the whole "But we kill animals and bugs which we didn't make arguement" we kill those for different reasons.

I've said what I wanted to say :) some religion is no different than murdering scum we have locked up in our prisons. - Fact

What gives you or anyone else the right to decide how another person lives in another country? This is the point that i am trying to make. If that is how they choose to live and those are the laws of the land then so be it, it is for them to decide.

They are the ones that have to try and change the laws not you or me. It is what they have deceided works best for them.

....Those that do so are no different than common murderers no matter WHAT their so called "Holy" books/scrolls say.

What you consider a minor offence might not be a minor offence for others. A good example of this is homosexuality which is pretty much acceptable in most western countries, however, in the Muslim world a offence punishable by death.

See what i mean?

And we are supposed to respect this? Let me remind the PC crew here that this kind of ruthless oppression is exactly what we fought to get rid of in 60's and 70's.

What gives them the right to decide how homosexuals should live? Is this is one of those things that are so much better in the muslim world? Do you support this?

I just find it so hilarious when people who are otherwise very pro gay rights consider it acceptable for muslims to discrimenate against gay people. Oppression is oppression no matter who does it.

Nothing gives me the right, but that doesn't change facts.. would you like me to say it again? perhaps it will sink into your thick religion loving skull. Its quite sad that you're perfectly fine with people being put to death over such silly things.

PC crew, religion loving...see what i mean by the real danger coming from the "atheist" crew?

That's where our next "crusade to purify" comes from.

Also, bloodomen, some religion, not all religion.

By the by, nicely avoided yet another patch of things Gorb, lemme guess, "i've discussed this already!".

But, let me put something for you to ignore again;

"opression is opression no matter..." <- quite right, so stop doing it.

Its a shame the lad was born into a backward country, I doubt anyone is going to stand up against those laws because, to do so would mean that everyone of them standing up against the law, would be killed for some shit section c ruling from their made up book on gods.

People that base their whole lives and laws on a book that was supposedly created whenthefuckever need their heads checked out.

Please dont try and put words into my mouth. I dont claim either in this thread or any other thread for that matter to have issues with gays. I am just using this as a example of how things are thought of differently in different parts of the world.

Acceptable in the western countries and unacceptable in pretty much the rest of the world.

The rest of your post is as per usual rubbish.

Ok if nothing gives you the right then what are you on about then?? I dont get your point except to bash people for holding views that are different to your own?

If you want to try and make me out to be some sort of religious bigot i am afraid you couldnt be further from the truth. If you cant understand the point that i am making or chose to just totally ignore it and in the process try and turn this into a thread about gays or my views on gays please feel free to start another thread asking about peoples thoughts on gays.

Get it into your thick fucking skull that not everyone is reading from the same page as you. It is not just Muslim people that have issues with gays but a vaste majority of societies on this planet find it unacceptable. However, this wasnt the point that i making rather that it was a example to try and make you understand that not everyone holds the same: views, morals, as you.

Because our way is better. Its not flawless. But its better. Why is it better? Because more freedoms make happier people.

See i'd also disagree with this.

Freedom doesn't always make happier people. If people could go around punching people in the face then some people would be happy cos they could go take out their anger on everyone around them without caring. Most people would be much less happy because they would be terrified about having their face mashed in at any opportunity.

Simply saying that more freedom = more happyness is very very shortsighted. For everything you enjoy having the ability to do, there's 10 things that your probably more happy that other people around you can't do. Take away the rules stopping the people around you doing those 10 things is much more important to your happyness than the one thing your actually allowed to do.

Have you actually been to any of these countries tho and talked to the people there? I've struggled to find people in China who are less happy than people in the UK, in fact i'd say it was in more cases the opposite was true. I'm fairly sure they don't have more freedom than us, so how do you explain that?

Most of our laws are based upon Christian values. Does that mean we also need our heads checking out?
The books in question (while fictional in my opinion) were created based on what rules were deemed appropriate at the time. Go read the tortoise and the hare. Now I think only your most crazy nutter would argue that the story was anything other than completely fictional, it doesn't mean you can't learn an important lesson from it however.

I think maybe you need to go back to school and redo reading Comprehension, as this seems pretty clear, well for any 12 year old with a basic grasp of the English language.
