Question about df... (non-biased answers please)

Stop being so biased and ask yourselves if the following event was fair or not.

I see an infil move down from atk in emain. I plot his direction and line up for a pa (he stealthes at the slope down from atk). Contact is made and i nail the entire pa->cd->ss chain. After stuns wear off i get some luck with evades and get in 2 hamstring->leaper->rib separation chains. When victory is at hand (1 or 2 more hits on the infil) he evades and land DRAGONFANG. Can only watch in despair how he decimates my hitbar and then kills me having 1/1000 hits left himself.

During this encounter i did everything right and was extremely lucky with all my styles. Still I lose. All because of 1 dragonfang.

We both were fully buffed etc.

I think i deserved to win don't you?

unlucky tbh
and maybe unbuffed...

if u deal full pa chain with 2 hand and inf shoul be allready dead...
an even if u add 2 harmsting chain

damn man the damage dealth should be enough to kill a buffed tank ;P

and again 9 sec stun is enough to run away... but to kill u too

mmm think somthing should be added u dont remember to say... maybe scrolling u'dd see a "xyz hit u with his bow"
that nowdays is allways more frequent :)

why was it unfair? you where both buffed etc. think of it this way: what if the infil wouldnt have df? then you would have owned hes as of. it sounded like an even fight to me anyway since he was at almost no hp when you died. Youll get him next time m8.

If you had read my originial post you see that both were buffed.

Don't say "unlucky tbh" - i was having the best luck of my life in daoc with styles. But I suppose you mean infil evaded once=unlucky you die.

Think you missed the part where I said I got pa chain and hamstring chains in.. If an infil does that to me i EXPECT TO HAVE MY ASS OWNED FFS

if you have rib separation, you either have low weapon spec or low la spec, both is equally bad :)

all I can say in contrast that before LA nerf i fought some SBs a few times where i double perfed them in combat, i was 3 realm ranks higher on both occasions and i still lost, so you feel unfairly? tough luck, SBs had it coming for a year.
and yes i was fully buffed by 50 enhance cleric.

I'm famous.

9 second stun is enough to strip you of how many hits? Buffed I'm guessing you're around 1800? 9 secs is normally 3 shots of hamstring - so 140 main, 70 offhand (edit buffed - so a bit higher than this)

Slightly confused.

You're not going to get many unbiased answers, but...

Say it was a Reaver, you land the full chain, get him to 10% in the stun, he slams you, moves behind and 3-shots you. Did you deserve to win?

Or a Scout slams you and fires a couple of bowshots into you.

Or a Polearmsman, lands Defender's chain on you and kills you in the stun...

Or anything else for that matter.

Largely it's luck of the draw. You didn't kill him while you had the advantage, he makes full use of his opportunity.

The only thing I would say really is that if you think it's unfair, and know there is a high possibility of losing to it, and don't like being the victim of it, then don't put yourself in that position.

You chose to play the character you play. You chose where you play it. You chose to take on the Infiltrator. You chose to take the risk.

It's nobody's fault, but your own.

I'm glad you agree infils need a nerf!

I only expect to win if I land PA chain on rogue classes (not minstrel though) and casters.

PS Using same logic you used there, you can justify that it's fair savage grps rape all other grps. After all, those other grps put themselves into that situation, they could avoid it by PvEing or crafting.

I think his point is, what difference does it make whether its an infil or any other class that landed the stun.

Had it been the other way round and you'd landed FG, pulled 2-3 nice rear positionals and turned the flow would it be equally 'unfair'?

Wouldn't happen I'm dead after PA chain and hamstring chain. Infil is the only assassin that gets spec af buff too 12% absorb that is unfair ;(

I dont "expect to win" any fight where the enemy is same lvl and not to low rr. And i dont want to either. All the fun in the game is lost when i can get into a fight with an equal enemy and know i will win so i hope that never happens. I want the adrenaline.

TBH... i never thought u would come up with a stupid answer like this

Screw polearmsmans etc.. this was an assassin vs assassin.. i dont complain when loosing to a tank, but when this happens vs another assassin, it just takes the piskies :C (But ofc another dragonfanger will never admit it) :)
