I dont mean to be a spoil sport but when I read down ther was no 100g entry fee and now ther is . I dont really play my arms anymore and man is he broke :x . I cant pay you and I am not farming 100g just to enter for a bit of fun, its just a laugh anyway so if thats a prob no worrys, scratch me off. sry to do that but I cba to farm cash with a charc I very rarely play.

yeah on hib it was like this

from total pot 80% was prize money and 20% went to me for the pain ;]

i made about 900g from the hib one over 2 days...which in farming terms is pure crap. i can farm like 400g an hour with my chanter or even more on diamond runs etc but the purpose of this is not the money really (holy shit i just said that)

i'm doing something which i think goa should be doing, ie adding more interactive events. some peeps dont like dueling etc & wont b interested & that's cool but im kinda left with nothing to do in daoc rly as rvr died on excal a while back ;] & sub is still running etc - if swg came out when it should have i wouldn't be setting this up ;] anyway

anyway im thinking of doing it like this...

1st prize (80%) = 320g & this time NO SECOND PLACE PRIZE (as on hib)

that's 320g for beating 2 people.

& the remaining 20% will go towards the champions tourney
(which going by the entrants so far = 840g for the overall winner)

Well, nearsight is uber in duels too, since it effectively puts the enemy caster out of the fight. Also, be aware that the nearsight that you have probably been hit with the most is a non-supp runie nearsight which perhaps cuts your range by 25%. The highest (matter Cabalist) nearsight is 65%, rendering you basically useless as a caster.

I also find nearsight invaluable for those times I manage to pick out the bard (or healer once in a blue moon) before he lands the AoE mezz.

just a reminder about tourno

* tourney set to take place may10th over weekend (champions tourney to follow later)

*signup entry will be closed may 5th to enable me to sort out the schedules etc

*100g to enter (prize money details to follow)

*any tourno with less than FOUR ENTRANTS will be cancelled

*any melee based tourno will be over 3 rounds, the PALADIN (coz these are gonna take forever unless u give me a good reason y they wont), caster & cleric tourney will be ONE round only

*all ra's are available to you, but remember you will fight 3 rounds in succession so be careful when you burn an r.a

*all entrants are SEEDED by RR, in the case of when there are an uneven number of people in the draw the LOWEST RR player will be given a bye into the next round

*all duels will begin at range. (approx 2000units apart)

*charged items are NOT ALLOWED. so u cannot for example bring a weapon with a self haste buff etc or a fire a dd at someone whenever you feel like it (ie to get the killing blow) or a debuff

*reactives such as ablatives are fine, and proc's are fine but nothing that gives you a self buff or bt shield etc or that you can fire at will. This means you can have dot's, dd's etc but you cannot enhance yourself in any way other than your class defining self buffs.


the winners from each class (pro & am) section will be invited (so its totally optional) into a champions tourney (there will be a pro & am champs tourney) where you could get drawn against anyone. still debating whether there should b some prize money for this


and i REPEAT any tourno with LESS THAN FOUR ENTRANTS will be cancelled so check the pic and see which tourneys are in danger ;]

I'm not happy with only one round for paladin duel...

It means those with a bunch of active ra's (for instance those with Faith heal *AND* ignore pain) will easily win, no contest..

Imo three rounds, but no engage.
