Live price increases on the way, £5.99 a month = lolfuckno
Unless it's been changed from a few weeks ago, it's only the single month price that's changing. The 3 month and 12 month charges haven't been touched, in the UK at least.

Yeah, I still think it's a load of rubbish though. They don't scale the cost when it comes to MS points so it's just going to hit people that can only afford to pay monthly. If it knocks a rake of screaming 10 years olds off the service then maybe I'll eat my hat, but I doubt it.

Maybe it's just me being narrow minded, but I can't see the monthly charges effecting many people, the kids will probably have their parents pay a lump sum cause it's less costly in the long run, and anyone with a bit of sense will buy the 12 months from a shop since it's cheaper than buying direct over XBL. Mind you, if it did lower the amount of screaming twatty kids, you'd be forever in my mind as the person who first put that notion in my head. :D

its called pre calculation or somat been around sicne dc days. wii,eye toy, move and linect games have it none of are 100% accurate and need a helping hand at making the user believe it is. it wil be more apparent in some games others not. similar to how auto-aim/aim bots work in fps game on consoles

Just to buck the trend I think the Kinect is actually very good, it's fun and easy to use and there is no risk of throwing a controller through the tv screen.

I like the voice recognition stuff and the webcam capabilities (handy for talking to my son who's 300 miles away).:kissit:

I got Move a couple of months ago with my slim. Tried all the demos on the first day but haven't touched it since, so boring, gimmicky and unappealing. Perhaps it'll improve if some decent games ever come out.

The better stuff will be a while, release game are usually pretty boring and flaky. Same with Kinect, I expect far better in 12 months time when developers have had a reasonable amount of time with the hardware to make the most of it and not the 6-9 months most of them had with actual Kinect development kits.

I expect both will be forgotten in a year.

I can see that about Move but not Kinect.

Kinect doesn't feel like a gimmick in my opinion and it has the potential for developers to produce some amazing games although as a hardcore gamer i'm hoping hardcore games start being announced.

Of course keyword there being potential.

You are such a blinkered fanboi it's unreal. Out of the two, move is the only one I've heard any good things about, online, from people talking.

Either way,, both are gimmicks that simply won't sell massive amounts of software, and that is where the money is.

The main problem I see with the Kinect is 'no buttons' I think they will need to bring our accessories like a light gun or something. It will be interesting to see how the new Steel Battalion will work on the Kinect. That will be the decider game to whether it will be a casual game gimmick. As for Move, I haven't had much experience with it, feels like a HD Wii, which isn't a bad thing, but yet again we have to wait for a 'must have' game to come out.

The problem with both is that Wii was first to market with it's gimmick, unless move/kinect actually come out with good games they'll both be horrific failures.

And ofc lol @ Laada.

And your such an ignorant little twat it's unreal.

Did you even read my post?

I didn't say Kinect was 100% going to succeed did i? i just said out of the two it seems the one to do the best and it's the most interesting peice of kit as well.

Like i said though in my original post if you read it keyword being potential it could just be another Wii with endless beach sports games coming out.

Your so quick to jump and call me a fanboi though you obviously didn't bother.

It doesn't even work so how can it be anywhere near to being the best?

I actually think both are pretty pointless but at least the PS3 one works... Either way if I wanted to flail like a moron at the screen to control a game I would get a Wii.

My thoughts exactly i played Kinect Adventures the other day and i had a great time on it.

20,000 leaks is a fun as hell game.

Also played Kinect Sports which was also very cool.

The game i'm getting for christmas though is Kinectimals which is the game that interests me the most lol.

Looking forward to getting it for christmas as we having my parents/gfs parents over for the day so should be fun.

Like many have said though i just hope we get some cool hardcore games for it hoping EA will do Fight Night for it would be so fecking awesome over LIVE.

Read the article I posted, seriously. 10x10 pixels for hand/finger detection, LOLz.

Sorry Wazz, did MS nickle and dime on the sensor? Absolutely. Does that stop it working? Nope.

2.5 million sold already, on target for 5 million by end of quarter. MS would face a fucking massacre in a class action lawsuit if they were selling something that blatently didn't work.

It works just fine, for casual gamers. Personally I wanted more but then it was never really aimed at me to begin with anyway.
