PS3 (I don't own a Wii) I have never had to pay to play online, so not sure what all this pay to play stuff comes from, nobody would seriously pay to play standard games online surely? I know about the Xbox online stuff but always assumed that was just for fluff, do you need that to play online?

tbh I have been waiting so long for it now, I don't know if I cba with it. I have a PS3 just gathering dust which I may just trade in for an XBOX pretty soon, fuck all else worth having a PS3 for other than GT5.

Theres a guy at work who owns a PS3 about 10 of us have a 360 and we laugh at him everytime he starts rambling on about GT5.

Heres my opinion on GT5, I love GT just like any racing fan it's awesome it really is but GT5 is really a bit of a joke now it's been in development before the PS3 even came out hasn't it?

PS3 owners go on about it like it's the SAVIOUR of their console and justifys why many paid the ridiculous price tag for the PS3 when it first came out.

/me likes to play Burnout and Blur on the PS3.

Interestingly I played Blur on the 360 at my sister's for several hours and managed to go really far through the various stages. On the PS3 I find it so much harder to complete each section. Bleh.

G has touched on what I'm getting at; I was so looking forward to GT5 but I'm getting tired of the hype, delays and all the woeful chat about it. Now someone runs an article effectively saying that it's worthy of the PS4? - give me a fucking break. My comment was a flippant pointer that it makes me want to buy a 360.

Face it your console has failed yes I will say it again FAILED! A couple of good exclusives is all you have and the crappy ports you get time and time again.

Sony aren't willing to dip into their pockets at all for exclusives such as the DLC for GTA etc.

Don't even get me started on PSN it's outdated and best of all it won't even be free anymore because Sony are now seeing the numbers on XBL and want a slice.

If MS release their next console within 3 years I just can't see Sony recovering it will be really hard for them to release their next console unless they release at the same time which is highly unlikely since the PS3 has barely made them any sort of profit if any at all.

I'll preface my response by saying I don't own a PS3, just a 360.


1. Do you, or anyone here, have shares in the PS3? If not, why do you care if it's failed or not. If someone who has bought one enjoys it, why should they give a fuck about Sony's success/failure.

2. This is an utterly confused point. First, you're saying that PSN is crap, and the pay for Xbox Live is far better. Then you point out that soon you'll have to pay for PSN but you fail to put together the point that if PSN is pay for, it's highly likely that the service will improve.


It never fails to amaze me that people can put so much of themselves in to this argument as though preferring one console or another reflects negatively in some way.
