Agreed, the SFA (and FA) need to take a firm stance and use post match video evidence to stamp out the cheats.

Megson?
Steve Bruce?
Redknapp?
Zola?
Pulis?

You're havin' a giraffe.

Megson - I'm lost of this one

Bruce - Kept Wigan out of a relegation battle on a shoestring budget losing there best player in jan window, bought in another class act in the form of Rogadella, just because he's an ex-blues manager doesn't mean he hasnt done a quality job this year.

Redknapp - His points total for the season (points earned with pompey+points earned with spurs) would mean that team would be 5th, enough said from twitchy.

Zola - Bought through alot of youngsters, lost some of there first XI through injury/sales, bought a team looking for the drop/mid table into touching point of europe.

Pulis - Kept stoke up, got 4 points of your lot. Enough said.

MON - Managed to spend lots in the summer and not progress at all. Bad decisions to drop out europe and wanting to play Heskey no matter how it messes up the formation. Hardly deserves a spot imo.

We pushed the top four really hard until we ran out of steam. We don't have the budgets of the "big four" or the pulling power to have squads the size they do.

I think MON should be in that list, some of them are just joke selections. Probably has more to do with his suing the website 3-4 times in the past two years ;)

As for not having pushed on ... I don't see it. Other teams have spent big and done worse than they did last year. We have played a lot more games in all competitions and are about to finish in the top six in consecutive seasons for only the second time since 1945.

But Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez continued to insist that United were not the best team in England, adding: "They got more points than us. And they have a stronger squad. And a larger stadium. A bigger fan base? Certainly. But let me ask you this - do they have Ngog? No, they do not."

Benitez also claimed that Belgium was wider than China and that Andrei Voronin is lighter than a bag of peas

:D

Republic of Ireland squad: Shay Given (Manchester City), Dean Kiely (West Brom), Kieren Westwood (Coventry), Eddie Nolan, Sean St Ledger (both Preston), John O'Shea (Manchester United), Kevin Foley (Wolves), Paul McShane (Sunderland), Richard Dunne (Manchester City), Stephen Kelly (Birmingham), Kevin Kilbane (Hull); Aiden McGeady (Celtic), Damien Duff (Newcastle), Darron Gibson (Manchester United), Glenn Whelan (Stoke), Keith Andrews (Blackburn), Liam Miller (QPR), Stephen Hunt (Reading), Andy Keogh (Wolves), Liam Lawrence (Stoke); Caleb Folan (Hull), Kevin Doyle (Reading), Robbie Keane (Tottenham), Shane Long (Reading), Leon Best (Coventry)

About time, it's criminal he's been left out for so long.

I hate them 1 year special kits. We just did one for Anfield 89 it just means 2 years with 2 new strips. That's an epic preview site though.

If this is our new away strip we plan to win by making opponents throw up in their mouth a little

They're a south american team I believe. A mate's got one of their shirts just because of the wanka.

Apparently their shirt sales have gone through the roof in Europe, for some unknown reason ;)

Is it Deportivo La Caruna or whatever the spanish team are called?

City boss Mark Hughes said: "Once I control all the legs there are, I do think we've got a realistic chance of a top six finish."

Now that really did make me laugh :D

In other news Villa's reserves win the Premier League reserve play-off at Villa Park this evening. We won the south division last year too, but lost the play-off at Anfield last year.

This year, with home advantage, we recorded a 3-1 win on a lovely sunny evening. Pick of the players on show was Delfounso (striker) and Albrighton (winger) who will surely be making the step-up to regular first team action next season.

Barclays took it pretty seriously with a bunch of fireworks and a big stage-set, was a great evening out and it was completely free, including car parking.

Does this mean you've got the best set of youngsters ready to explode into the premiership, or you've had the most injuries this season with players needing games to get back into the flow of things?
