haha this is great
:D

Sunderland gave a good show against us, all i really wanted was Anelka for Golden Boot since he has deserved it. But also got an Ashley Cole goal thats been coming to him all season :p

Hull stay up but don't really deserve to, great goal from Gibson, dont know much about him but it reminded me a bit of a Scholes back in the day ;)

Newcastle go down and do deserve to, they can't blame anyone except themselves. And good old Duff :D

You'll be back, your manager is a wanker but your club is a credit to English football regardless of a poor season.

I hate Shearer, got alot of time for Geordies but I have to say I wanted to see him take them down. Sad I know.

Classier how so?

That shirt looks like a polo shirt, YMMV.

Mission accomplished today, but big credit to Everton for winning at Fulham and pipping us by one point to fifth place.

Shearer also deserves credit for having the balls and good spirits to wave to the Holte End. Shame his team were so shit today, thought their fans deserved better than to go down with barely a whimper. I didn't think one goal would be enough, but in the end it was easily.

Leaving the executive entrance after the game I overheard two of their directors lamenting being relegated by "such a terrible, freak goal". Actually, no, that would be down to having lots of crap players and no continuinity with your management team. Should never have got rid of Bobby Robson.

Nail, Head, Hit

and do you know why they sacked robson? Because according to Newcastle when they sacked him "5th place isnt good enough for a team of Newcastles stature"

lol

So you think your shirt is classier because it does not have a collar?

haha :m00: I like the light claret stripe in the white, it looks very classy to me. But then I prefer Ashley Young to Arshavin :D

actually im not bitter at all.. we deserved to go down.. not gonna dispute that.. just find it odd that the very same people who cheered shearers names during euro 96.. or after he scored the winner v germany in euro 2000.. now all hate shearer.

fickle is all i'd call it.

where does this hate come from? why are you all so happy to see newcastle down?

unless u are a mackem or a hull fan.... i dont see why.. unless.. nah.. i'll wait for the responses first.

<3 Shearer. England legend!

But it still cracks me up seeing him going down. Partly because signing him as manager was just a bit retarded and geordies fans expectations of just a few years ago being their own downfall. Sacking good managers because "finishing 5th isn't good enough for a club of our stature". lol :p

United fans are just bitter because he wouldn't sign for them :p

Not really, he was a great striker, but he is a boring person, he is hugely overhyped. IIRC he has not even finished his coaching badges yet? It is a joke that Newcaslte appointed him as manager and was nothing but Ashley winning over the fans before relegation. And the Geordies being as gulliable as they are, fell for it hook, like and sinker.

I also hate the attitude that you deserve anything, because you are a "big" club or have great fans. You deserve relegation and worse for the appalling mismanagement at the club for the last 10 years or so, the inability to let a manager build something, the insistence that you can buy your way to success.

Oh well, at least we won't have to put up with any of that next season. Bye :)

I can't wait to see Burnley in the Premier League next season - they fully deserved to go up and I hope they do well.

Burnley will be slaughtered in the prem however, no money, no squad depth, i feel for a new low points tally for them :/.

Relegation next season will be out of Pompey, Burnley, Wolves, Birmingham, Hull, Wigan, Sunderland, Stoke and Bolton.

They are just like WBA, great football in the Championship, but if they do not invest in the squad they will struggle in the premier league. The one thing they have going for them is that they do have a few players worthy of playing in the premier league, and they are defensively stronger than west brom. They have also shows that they can go a few rounds with the big boys in the cups this season.

If they are sensible and go for draws and not conceding goals to ensure a good GD, against the stronger teams, they could have some great footballing games against the bottom 10 sides. Something west brom never could agree with doing - and a lesson Hull learnt the hard way, and nearly too late.

Agree fully with the Pompey, Wolves and Hull prediction for next season. Pompey look set to have their squad decimated over the summer. It is a real shame that the loss of a manager can take a club from such highs to such lows in just over a year. Wolves have an experienced manager and could surprise us, Mccarthy has already said he will spend and not make the mistakes he has in the past. Think Birmingham have enough about them to survive, and Sunderland is a total mystery, it depends who they get in as a manager and how much investment the Texan brings.

I agree, i can see us pulling off a Stoke next season as we have big investment along with a steady head that knows the areas needed for improvement, what we don't need now is loyalty to players that won't keep us up however. Blues were lucky to make the top 2 this season tbh, they were poor no matter what this season and will go right back down. Burnley aren't financially strong enough to last the whole season imo, if they could get a few frees and bargains in then maybe, just maybe they will stay up, but they are like us from the 03/04 season, going up without much if any money at all.

Harry leaving has not ruined Pompey he jumped ship when he saw they were in trouble its just another reason to hate him ;)

As for Burnly they did not hang with the big boys they beat the Arsenal Carling cup squad at home, but the half a first them that played them in the FA Cup had no problems. It upsets me when they say htey beat Arsenal when a look at the team will show they beat the Arsenal Reserves, but im not bitter
