If its true these fuckers would not let the FA Cup be held at Twickenham then they should be told to FO. BBC SPORT | Rugby Union | English | Football grounds part of 2015 bid

wembley will let anyone use the stadium as long as they get money. Soon it be a nuclear bomb testing site as well the rate they going. Cant make the playing surface any worse.

Is emerites one the listed stadiums? didnt read it properly. Hope not because it the last truelly flawless pitch around and rugby would tear it up.

Yes it is and that shocks me tbh i know a full stadium is £3mil but if it fucks our pitch its not worth it.

Hold on - why not? The clubs involved should be able to make their own decision, and I am sure that financially it would be very beneficial, especially for some of the ex premier league clubs with big grounds.

I'm fine with the clubs deciding themselves what it don't like is if Twickenham told the FA to piss off meaning i had to drive past it on my way to Wales they should avenge me and not let them use that shamble of a national stadium.

Heh, Twickenham suffered more for that, Millenium stadium got much needed business out of that, and it's a nice stadium. The Rugby federations clearly know that the FA cannot afford to turn down events at Wembley, they spent to much on it.

Went to the Villa End of Season awards last night. And yes, it should probably have been held in February since our season pretty much ended then :m00:

Anyway, lots of gossip from the players. Not sure if it can all be taken seriously, mind, as they seemed to rather enjoy winding the punters up and having them on:-

Barry is attracting interest from Man United and AC Milan. Was said to be considering buying out his contract and moving to AC.

Spurs are reputedly in for Nigel Reo-Coker and he didn't seem very happy with his season, mostly on the bench or right back.

Martin Laursen is retiring and the Newcastle game will be his big fairwell.

MON was livid, genuinely seething, about our second half performance against Fulham at the weekend. He says he wants to win our next two games (away v Boro, home v Newcastle) as he thinks it is important to finish 5th on more points than we had last season.

He spoke very passionately about next season and promised the fans of Aston Villa that next season would be bigger, better and more successful than this season.

I don't suppose you much care but it was a great evening. Lots of drink, excellent food and entertainment and a chance to mix with the players and management.

Carew hit on my date for the night, lol, but she was more interested in Nicky Shorey (?!) who signed her arm -- much to the delight of Luke Young. Wasn't cheap but definitely worth every penny :D

Really frustrated with that first half, cannot believe rooney and carrick missed those chances :(

And also, Wigans players managed to keep their feet. Would it really have been so hard to put the right boots on for the conditions? We had players falling and sliding all over.

This from bbc sport:
"2149: Let's spare a thought for Wigan - they do not deserve to lose tonight. But United just do not know when they are beaten, and someone always pops up when they need inspiration."

That sums the game up for me, Wigan have run us ragged, great tenacity in midfield, very good long balls and counter-attacks. But, we have had lots of attempts and possession, and you cannot give our creative players that many attempts without something coming off.

wigan were immense. After the first half misses it wasnt looking good and i was surprised at no subs at half time.

Tevez may not have scored a ton of goals, but my god he is always the one that grabs important ones. Cant remember the number of times he has snuck in at the near post and got goals that we were desperate for.

Wigan really didnt deserve to lose that game, hell from the 2nd minute you knew that they had a good chance of hitting us on the counter attack.

Great finish by carrick though, just stubbed at the ball and used the power on the pass to give it that extra umph.

But Tevez, god what a finish. And it great to see Tevez showing why we really need him. Good to hear Fergi just saying that we are in talks to keep tevez.

Sir Alex's post match comments on Tevez; he has been offered good terms, he wants to stay, we want him to stay, i want him to stay, he is a brilliant little footballer, david gill has had talks about him today and more tomorrow.

Title number 18 is now within reach.

Tevez offered terms.

Well played Wigan, that should shut up the idiots who thought they would roll over tonight.

Jooribachian keeps making statements about how Tevez has said x and y. I really don't like the ****. Hope he is never allowed near a footballer's rights again.

Funny you mention that, just this afternoon I was told by a friend who is pretty well informed that United were going to propose a cash plus Hargreaves transfer for Barry. Normally I would just go along with the feeling that it is a rumour but perhaps there is something to it after all.

Has Sir alex finally realized that the most overrated player in english football, Michael Carrick, shouldn't be in the start 11?

carrick won man of the match, and scored the winning goal. Why would this make him realise carrick isnt a starting 11 player. Carrick generally plays well in a 3 man midfield.

I didn't watch todays game, and I've never said he was a bad player - he's just very very overrated.

If they want consistensy on their midfield, then we might aswell just give you Hjalte Nørregård. We've had this discussion before, however let me say this:

I can find atleast 15 players, if not 20, who could the same job as Carrick and has a better work rate and/or passing/offensive abillites.

with that said, he's probably the only weak link at mufc. Their best player is of course Park :)

I think it's time for us Scouser's to concede this one. Gratz Manchester United on equalling the record for the most leagues won in English football. Either way the record will go sooner rather than later. It just remains to be seen whether Liverpool's title hopes for next season will be nothing more than a dream, or a realistic option. Given the Liverpool's stats for this season, it's looking rosy. Once again, gratz all Man U fans and their team. :)

As a Liverpool fan I believe its time to throw in the towel :( But fuck me what a game last night, Wigan was just up and ahead from the first minute, and that deserves some credit.

Good work for Manchester tho, 3 titles (Maybe, depends on how lucky Barca is once again) is very impressive! Looking forward to next season :england:
