the trick is to get promoted back up again asap i suppose, -10 points or not, Juventus managed ok in Serie B :p

(though obviously they were relegated for cheating and are a massively rich club so slightly different i guess :p )

Leeds did okay as well, I suppose relegation and point deductions are secondary though, the most important thing is sorting out the finances so the club still exists in the first place.

Think Derby and southampton must differ with their parent company. Apparantly southamptons parent company only has income from the clubs involvement, i can only guess that derby have a parent company where the club only makes up some of its income and thus can argue that the club and the parent company are seperate entities

I think that's it if Arsenal Holdings went bust A F C would be ok as alot of the money from Arsenal Holdings make their money though property and other business so the Football Club is just 1 part.

hull are frustrating liverpool quite well. If they can keep the energy levels and concentration up for 90 minutes they might snatch a point.

Think we will get at least a point against spurs today.

Hull were doing really well, till a stupid argentine falls over his own foot and a even dumber referee gives a freekick. Sure nice strike for the goal, but should never have had that opportunity.

Folan watched Pepe to much? :)

nah, he didnt make contact unfortunately. I really wish that referees would start to give the decision to the attacker when there an obstruction like that in the box though. He simply stepped into his run so he couldnt get near the keeper. The referees dont give them when the ball running out for a goalkick as they say that it fine due to the ball being in playing distance, but instances like that show it clearly doesnt matter where the ball is, if it on the halfway line it given (lmao as i type that giovanni gets done by arboloa and the freekick given + a yellow card. lol)

Ah well, referee has looked like he in liverpools pocket most the game anyways so cant say surprised (but the kick was unnecessary)

We can't buy a win right now. Players were clearly going through the motions today, just like the fans they want the end of the season to come sooner rather than later.

Bet they are still getting paid though.

God I hate football sometimes.

Once again Tottenham playing out of their skins because they're playing United ... don't even see them this up for it against Arsenal.

Berbatov and Nani are crap.

much better at start of second half, no surprise gomez only got a yellow, guess it as carrick was moving away from the goal. But technically it should been red.

hopefully we take this way back in and push on spurs

wtf lol? a red, shouldnt have even been a penalty

he went through the player, doesnt matter if he got a slight touch he pulled the player down and it will always be a penalty. If he didnt pull the player down then he would have a chance of getting onto the ball and have a scoring oppoertunity.

and should technically be a red due to him being the last man, if you give the penalty then you already decided the offence hence why i said technically should be a red

Now we see the potential of having Berbatov, Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney on the pitch together.

well thank you man utd for trying to kill me. First half they just appalling and look like a relegation side, and second half was simply magical, Ronaldo actually looked like he wanted to play football finally

I think against arsenal we really need to play with rooney on the left wing and tevez and berbatov up top. The left wing is about our weakest position and Rooneys work rate there makes so much difference, and that frees the space for Tevez up top. (even though i still dislike berbatov the bank manager wont let us treat him as a bad investment :p )

Nani just is too weak still i feel, and park has the work rate but doesnt have that bit of magic.

No doubt anyone that not a utd fan will argue the penalty shouldnt be given and changed the game, but to be honest spurs had already disappeared before that decision. Moment second half started they looked like chasing a shadow.

edit:

wonder what odds i can get on west brom surviving this season. Very unlikely but may be worth a couple bob :D

Right, annoyed about this because of Webb.

Corran, it was never a penalty. Gomez took the ball out of carricks path, it was not last man as there were defenders in line. I have watched a few replays now. bad decision.

Annoyed because I felt we would have won anyway, and this has overshadowed the performance of our players and everyone will tlak about Webb instead.

Do not know why Fergie insists on playing Nani and Ronaldo against teams like spurs with good width, they never track back and it hurts us. When Tevez came on we were a changed team, Rooney was fired up and played some brilliant balls. Talking to my bro in law (spuds fan), he was resigned to loosing as soon as it was 1-2, at 0-2 I still had faith in utd to turn it around. Think this attitude was shared by the players on the pitch, Spurs had no faith in their ability to stop us after we scored one, and it showed in their play from that point.

In my opinion the things that affected the result mainly were Rooney moving to the left and Nani coming off, Tevez running and closing down like the beast he is. Bent being injured, Spurs had no outlet after he hurt his knee -think Harry should have subbed him, even if it was for Huddlestone. The lack of belief from spurs and the great beleif showed by our players. And lastly and the least important, Webb. I know that most will ignore everything else and just point to Webb, but ho hum.
