He can use all the other excuses he likes and some of them actually hold water but the truth is that they are terrified that we will dominate club football like the 70's and early 80's. You wait and see, one riot by the scousers and we will all be out in the cold again but Turks and Italians can stab as many English fans as they like and UEFA/FIFA do nothing.

aye, it always been the same. I was laughing at the arguement that by putting a limit rule in stating you needed "x" local players would strengthen the league... like hell it would, it would just mean more foriegn players available to other teams in europe so that they can strengthen whilst the premier league weakens.

The guy is a twat and should be stripped of his role in the game, unfortunately that wont happen because all other leagues love him trying to take away the English leagues strength and money... i love the way he constantly hinting that unless the Premier league does as asked any world cup bid will be hurt.
