Poor refereeing on the Lampard sending off, even more laughable when you look at the fact it was pratically identical to the Gerrard tackle just minutes before that didnt even result in a booking.

Wait, there was 2 differences.

1) Lampard won the ball (gerard didnt)
2) Alonso rolled around crying and the Chelsea player didnt (ok so no contact on the chelsea player, but that dont normally stop the players faking an injury)

Liverpool were extremely lucky to get the win in the end, yes they were the only team attacking most the match but they really didnt create anything round the box till the end there. Benetiz was lucky as he waited too long wiht the substitutions as always.. your playing 10 men who hardly attacking, why do you need 2 holding midfielders for 83 minutes?

edit: I wanted a draw between these two, but i prefer a liverpool win over a chelsea win so i aint being biased with my views above. Rather Liverpool win because they probably go draw or lose to teams like wigan :D

^ Was going to say the same thing about Gerrard but it's saint stevie G so would be wasted breath.

Anyway we played poorly regardless of the sending off, however we were defending solidly and reducing liverpool to nothing but half chances and almost certianly would of held for a draw with 11 men.
I still stand with my comments that Scolari is the difference between us and other clubs who do well in these games.Although i reckon we'll wait for a few more cockups and until we get knocked out of the CL before we bother sacking him.

lol Robbie Keane not in squad again, heard a rumor that only reason Rafa bought Keane was to spite the owners for not letting him pursue Barry properly, so he spent the £20m on Keane then dumped him on the bench to prove a point! seems rather petty though but with Torres injured and not playing either why not play Keane? seems a bit odd!

So has Rafa lost the plot? find out later i guess when we see how they play against Chelsea :p

Nearly.... As I have heard it, is that Benitez wanted Barry but Parry wanted and bought Keane (Benitez has no final say on transfers.....that is sticking point in current contract)....so Benitez is not playing him to prove a point.

Thats what i've picked up from Liverpool forums aswell. Liverpool board seems a big big mess :)

Btw.. ready mates.. Wolves are back on track, see yall next season.

saw barcelona game today, messi was great again, scored just a few minutes after coming on, and then again to win it with a lovely right footed volley :p

atleast before he came on they showed they arent perfect ;)

Bit worrying for newcastle though, Given is (was) probably their best player, cant count the number of times he saved them from dropping more points, and with their injury list and other problems, they could be going down.

Liverpool will lose about £10 million on the player when you include signing on bonuses for the original transfer, loyalty bonuses for not asking for a transfer out of the club and 6 months of wages.

That is alot of money to piss away in 6 months, especially when you consider the bloke loves the club and was desperate to make it work. In all honesty Rafa didn't want him and has crippled the guys confidence so he has an excuse to get rid, it is there for all the world to see.

I was never too keen (pun intended) on the Keane transfer to begin with. When he played bad his body language was pathetic, whining constantly at teammates etc. He was ok at some matches, and i guess we will know in the end of the season if the 7 games he played was worth £5mil :)

Altho i question the decision to let him go without having a replacement ready (unless I've missed anything)

its really odd that alot of people perceive him this way as when asked alot of his former team mates claim hes a fantastic guy always happy to help out, friendly, funny etc, i read an interview with martin jol and when asked he said that Keane was a massive morale boost in the tottenham dressing room and couldnt understand why he wasnt having the same effect at liverpool, maybe hes lost his confidence (or hes one of those oddballs that does better at a smaller club :p )

edit: as above except Dean Windass recalled from loan returns to the KC for one last game, scoring the winner against man utd and Chelsea win on goal difference :p

Maybe he prefers being a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond? :) (no offence spurs :p )

I'm no expert on Keane pre Liverpool, but I've seen most of Liverpools games this year and I have got the impression that he is a whining prick.

Seemingly he has gone back for under 10mil as the fee is undisclosed and anything more than 10nil has to be announced. According to the BBC site.

fits in well with Gerrard then

But on a serious note, strange transfer decision, Keane probably made about 10million in fees paid to him in regards to the transfers (original signing on fee, Loyalty bonus if he due one for not requesting transfer, signing on fee for todays transfer). Sure that he quite happy.

Tell you one thing, that got to be one the most expensive ever 6 Month loan deals in the history of the premier league

This isnt strickly true... the only way it would have to be announced if it was over £10million paid upfront. If it under £10mill upfront, but addition fees within the deal (after goals scored, avoid relegation and after games played would spring to mind on this deal), then it wouldnt have to be announced. Even if the total is well in excess of £10mill. This is due to there being no guarentee of receiving that money.

bbc said:
1841: Robbie Keane has joined Tottenham for an initial £12m before rising with add-ons and the 28-year-old has signed a four-year contract at White Hart Lane.

that the latest apparently.
