aye that was a well taken freekick, poor goalkeeping though. Beckham regularly tries to turn in a freekick at the nearpost from that position but seems the keeper not done his research.. non-the-less it was a well struck freekick that many wouldnt try :)

Pirlo had a freekick in the game (think it was Pirlo). That was a cracker as well, shame it came of the bar.

Don't forget Mike Astley has according to Kinnar lost nearly £2bn so you are in money troubles too.

The supply line for Milan with Pirlo/Beckham/Kaka in the team must be immense.

Oh god

There is a massive rumour Defoe has broken his foot, and could be out for the season, the club hasn't confirmed anything yet though.

I fucking hope he's in our starting line-up tomorrow, I'll hopefully be able to get a ticket on the day and cheer us on at Notlob

Such a frustrating game at Villa Park today, hit the post a few times, kicked off the line about 4 times, last ditch tackles ... bleh, and people say we're lucky?

At least Le Arse only got a draw so we maintain our five point advantage. Would have been nice to have gone second, though, even if just for 1 day.

3 more hard fought points for United, pressure is all on Liverpool tomorrow now, lose that and they are possibly 8 points behind. End of December they we 8 points in the lead, that cannot fail to have an effect on thier team morale.

lol Robbie Keane not in squad again, heard a rumor that only reason Rafa bought Keane was to spite the owners for not letting him pursue Barry properly, so he spent the £20m on Keane then dumped him on the bench to prove a point! seems rather petty though but with Torres injured and not playing either why not play Keane? seems a bit odd!

So has Rafa lost the plot? find out later i guess when we see how they play against Chelsea :p

Although, only losing by a single goal which came about from a brain explosion from Arteta, at old trafford, against head and shoulders, the best team in the country, shows hard far everton have come.

If Everton had the money that the big 4 have, they would be title challengers without a doubt. In Moyes, they have the best motivator in the country. I dont know how he does it, but his man management is second only probably to ferguson.

With regards Ferguson, I truly believe that if Gazza hadnt gone back on his word and joined Man United instead of Spurs, Fergy would have kept him on the straight and narrow. How gazza must regret the choice he made.

Give over!! Worst rumour EVER! No manager in their right mind would do anything of the sort.

i must admit im a bit sceptical about it too but i still laughed :p

can just imagine a baby in a pram with benitez's face throwing his toys out :p

(would make for an amusing comedy sketch... hmmmmm)

maybe its all part of his master plan, who knows, i just cant understand why, when you have a player who, when he was playing regularly, scored lots, then when he starts scoring, you bench him for 2-3 games, and then expect him to work miracles for the 8 minutes a game you throw him on for o_O

probably why heskey had no intention of going back to liverpool, didnt want to warm the benches (or the stands in Keanes case).

on the other game today, newcastle going to win over sunderland or a draw with lots of fouls? :p

Carrick beginning to really show why we paid the money we did for him. He really begun to control the centre of the park. Finally i can relax a bit as was worried he wouldnt be able to replace scholesy when he finally retires, but on current form that wont be a worry.
Everton gave a good account of theirself, as i expected, but to be fair United should have killed the game off. And clearly there should have been a second penalty but with 3 minutes game time between the 2 incidents it would never be given. lol.
Everton clearly showed they need their attackers back, as against a team that hasnt conceeded in over 1100 minutes a 4-6-0 system wasnt going to yield the result they wanted. But defensively it was a strong performance.

Keane and Liverpool saga is a strange one. Dont think i ever understand Rafa, he really seems to have lost the plot since trying the mind games with fergi. Failed at that, and failed on the pitch as well... maybe his kidney stones are giving him a mental lapse.

Villa looked unlucky, should have won the game from what i saw but they had no luck. Was funny to watch but least arsenal were the same and didnt gain on villa.

And go Sunderland! 1-0 up with a comical goal. Feel sorry for the keeper though as he made a great save, just unlucky it went straight up in the air and back to the attacker. lol

Can't disagree with that, Moyes has done a terrific job for the Toffees on an absolute shoestring.

Lampards sending off was a farce, ref had no clear view of the contact from his position behind lampard.

No, he definitely pursued him improperly. Trying to swap him for £5 and some used hubcaps, the cheeky git. All that bleating to the press and leaking bids and interest seriously lowered my opinion of Benitez.

Was really hoping for a Chelsea victory today, oh well.

Bye bye Chelsea, SAF was right your squad is aging and your manager is clueless.

You did well for 2 years with the lottery win, but with Abram not interested anymore, no decent youth coming through, it will be back to pre 2004, year after year of misery.

Yep, i have no idea why we brought in an aging, un-inspiring, tactically inept manager when our club is beginning to get to a stage where we need to sell a few older players to make way for some up and coming talent.

Cue a few more seasons of predictable Utd winnings and another generation of everyone and their nephew supporting Utd until the league gets so boring that it implodes and La liga/Calcio become the new big boys again :p

We'll still finish above Liverpool i reckon though :p
