The Detroit Cobras - Love, Life & Leaving is getting heavy play here; its awesome. Its like the Dirtbombs, but with an easy-listening vibe, courtesy of the lush (female) vocals.

I'm also playing through every Mogwai album, over and over again, partly in lieu of their new CD not being out yet, and partly because I saw them live last week, and they were amazing. Also giving Do Make Say Think a hard listen, because they remind me of Mogwai, or a rich man's Godspeed.

Felt - Poem Of A River - 6 song album, fucking stunning build up, its lo-fi pop stuff, with amazing music/lyrics. It sounds like nothing else i own. Lawerence can't sing though, but that doesn't matter, his voice is perfect for the album.

The Velvet Underground - WHite Light/White heat.
another 6 song album, intsead of feed back ridden guitars and screeching organs/violins(like & Nico) you just get HEAVILY distorted guitar feedback sounds amazing, not as good as & Nico, but better than Loaded.

I won't bother posting anything specific, just be assured that whatever I'm listening to is more underground than anything you're listening to.

The entire playlist is rather large (read: going on 3000) at the moment, so I've not posted in this forum for a while.

However, recent listenings have been:

Tom McRae (both albums, Tom McRae and Just Like Blood, and a few B-Sides I downloaded: Streetlight and Pale Blue Eyes).

Both DJ Shadow albums, back to back, on repeat. Ooooh yeah.

And a whole big bundle of Super Furry Animals.

A Silver Mt Zion - he has left us alone but sometimes shafts of light grace the corners of our room.
Its fucking grand.

Do Make Say Think - Goodbye enemy airship the landlord is dead.
In the same vain as above, down to the bizarre title and inevitable godspeed you black emperor comparisons. Looking back up, I see I've already mentioned it, which is a shame.

King Prawn - got the thirst
Good, but not as good as previous outings.

This is how reviews should be presented. Clear and concise!

Tiger Trap - Tiger trap (album)
Tender Trap - Film Molecules (album)
m83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost (album)
Kings Of Leon - What i Saw (ep)

ok, so Tiger Trap & Tender Trap are both on the same record label, and are both indie pop at its tweest, its very lovely

m83, fucking hell they're weird, and AMAZING, its like synth sigur ros meets flaming lips, i suppose.

Kings Of Leon, basically this band will be hyped the fuck out of when they release their album in August, because both their EPs have been brilliant, country-garagey stuff. Red Morning Light is superb.

The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa - I'm (not really) optimistic. Its nice, I've got the album on pre-order, baby.
The Mars Volta - De-loused in the comatorium. Shite title, great album, even more fantastic than their Zep-a-like EP. Less shimmering navel-gazing psychodelia though. This is also on pre-order.
Detroit Cobras - 7 easy pieces EP. Pure loveliness in a poppy way. Hurray for them.

I've given you links to what should be the amazon pages (christ, who wrote their rewrite conditions?) so you can all buy and bask in the collective glory of these bands. (Actually, I just happened to be at amazon, and it seemed like an idea)
