Are you a completely daft cock? Yes you are! When has homboy meant anything else? Quimbledon.

Back on track; I'm fairly stuck on:
Daft Punk - Homework (Fresh, Da Funk, Teachers and Around the world are such summer tunes).
King prawn - surrender to the blender (rawr, saw them again on sunday)
Kyuss - And the circus leaves town (classic rawk)

correct, but when you listen to watery jizz hip-pop and publically announce it, you should expect the 'hataz' to hate, you just keep your head up, and carry on ballin'

im listening to Devendra Banharts album, its really good, plucky folk guitars like Pink Moon, with a sneery vocal.

and Deerhoof,

because of www.brilliantine.org mixtapes, they rock.

oh and Adult.

and The Essex Green

I just downloaded Faint. I heartily agree tbh. It fucking owns. That beat at the starts with the mock strings = best LP moment ever.

I don't think anything on meteora is as good as the stuff on hybrid theory.

Stuff i'm listening too:

Whitestripes - elephant: good album, if a little strange is some parts but not quite as good as white blood cells. Best tracks are seven nation army, Girl you have no faith in medicine, hardest button to button, its true that we love each other and the brilliant cold cold night by meg.

I'm also listening to rarities from the strokes and muse. The standout track by far is the first version of muse - bliss. Replacing the piano with sega mega drive style sounds ;)

You can download that at http://www.microcuts.net/002/muse_bliss_first.mp3

Also some older stuff like cream - sunshine of your love , and the kinks - you really got me

Morrissey - A Swallow on my neck
The Revs - Wanna Be loaded
White Stripes - Be Good To Me
Brendan Benson - Be Good To Me
Hunkydory - Noisy Fun and Famous
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot in people (whole album) and Kez
you should get this, i think you'll like it. Indie Rock like flaming lips/doves....very good.
Stereo Total - Adieu Adieu
Black Box Recorder - kidnapping an heiress
The New Pornographers - Mass romantic

and a fantastic mixtape, that someone made me, with loads of artists i'd never heard of!

You can get more obscure than some of those bands you mentioned? And I thought my music knowledge was pretty nifty :/

Been listening to alot of Seafood, Smiths, A Perfect Circle, Martin Carthy and Sonic Youth.

Neko Case is (I believe, I've since closed the window) winning in the Sexiest women of Indie Rock content by Playboy. Pretty apt, given the band she fronts.*

(Also on there are the classically beautiful and great Thingie from Rainer Maria, and the slightly drug-addled Amber Valentine, who's not quite as good; but nearly is!)

*The new pornographers. Which maxi mentioned. Do you see?!

It seems this thread has slipped into the ether. So I shall drag it kicking and screaming back for a little while longer.

Currently giving me an aural smothering:
Snake river conspiracy - sonic jihad (breed, especially, its great)
The donnas - spend the night (its good, better than the f'ing yeah yeah yeahs, imo)
An assortment of Reel Big Fish songs (Big star, Take on me, etc.)

Oh, and I'm downloading that Broken social scene album maxi suggested. It has my seal of approval so far.

With all the 'me me me' type posts in this thread, its beginning to feel like a schizophrenic blog. Disgusting.

me me me.

This guy was on MTV2 last night and he played an acoustic version of that as well as the videos to Metarie and Little Sparks(?). He sounds really good. I didn't realise the bside on Seven Nation Army was a cover of that either. I think I've found a new band/artist I like at last!
