yes, 'Dallas' by Silver Jews and 'Silver Clouds'

i prefer (Smog) though, which is just Bill Callahan, tracks by him to get are 'Hit the ground running' 'dress sexy at my funeral' 'teenage spaceship'

Also, if you like all that kinda stuff, try Lou Barlow(ex Dino Jr ex Sebadoh, ex Sentridoh) AKA Palace brothers etc,

I have two Sebadoh albums they're good, middle ground between The Pixies and Pavement i suppose, no Palace Brothers stuff though, yet.

mank dunno if you've ever heard of them and I bet you'll hate them but someone was digging through my record collection and pulled out Sheep On Drugs - Greatest Hits (cheeky title, it was their first album).

I forgot how good it was, lyrics are v good, reminds me of a massively updated Soft Cell but probably an acquired taste. Can't say my team at work are enjoying it atm :)

Oh you might like Black Flag too. Six Pack 4 teh win.

Camera Obscura - UnderAchievers please try harder (new album)
The Stooges - raw power
Belle & Sebastian - Dear castarophe waitress (new album)

Camer Obscura have gone and released an album better than the band that everyone compares them to (B&S) This album is fantastic, the B&S album is dead good, but the CO album has been on repeat for about a month now. It's just superb.

They sound less like B&S on this album, more of their own sound, drawing influence from sixties girl groups like The Ronnettes and The Crystals, all Phil Spector-ish. It's quite twee, and cute in places, but that adds to the charm.

The New B&S album is BRILLIANT pop music, truly a masterpiece of harmonies and tunes, but when i listen to songs like 'Dirty Dream Number 2' 'Boy With The Arab Strap' and 'Sleep the clock around' - all songs of the album Boy With The Arab strap(which isnt even their best album) They just blow me away, their new album doesn't really do that. But i do think it'll be their best seller to date.
