Have to say I didnt realise that UK fishing Quotas were actually sold to foreign countries/companies. More than half was sold off.
And then there is an uproar as to the fact we don't "own" our own waters and part of the Brexit campaign. No wonder Brexit won if this sort of thing wasnt made more public.

Like the whole "you're allowed to send EU citizens home if they haven't got a job after 3 months" rule, that the UK chooses not to enforce and was never mentioned during the campaign.

We haven't had enough boats to fish our own waters, even with quotas, for decades. The whole fishing thing is a ludicrous sideshow; the fishing industry isn't even that big in value terms; the British video games industry on its own is larger.

Just another example of Brexit focusing on shit that doesn't matter.

Obviously. We will be out of the single market and customs union so inspections for customs and regulatory compliance will be required both ways. No deal just adds tariffs into the mix. We don't have 50,000 customs agents whichever way we go.

God I hope not!

Lets talk about games, like we used to!

I'm finding Outer Worlds more fun than Fallout but overall the open-world game format is boring the shit out of me. Compared to a couple of hours of Doom Eternal it's yawn inducing.

I don't think we've bettered the story / action mix of games like Half Life yet. I love a good story, and great action, and if that means 'open world' gets sacrificed for more linear level design then great. The open world games know this, deep down, because they put quest markers on everything taking you straight towards your next objective so you don't have to fuck about exploring a pretty but essentially boring open world.

I know that this has little to do with hypothetical traffic jams at Dover but the avoidance of futher pointless polarised debate about a subject we've no longer got any control over (we're in a wait and see holing pattern) has got to be a worthwhile objective in it's own right?

:)

I'm struggling with the Outer Worlds, I quite like the art style and the dialogue but the combat just feels weird, everything is a bullet sponge.

I'll carry on though, seeing as I bought the season pass too!

We can. I'm just expressing my hope that we don't bother, because it was fucking tedious circles for quite some time. So, in a way, I'm still talking about it ;)

Is a semi fictional book that describes the steps needed for Russia to rule the world, and has managed to find itself on the shelves of top russian military leaders.

Interesting that two of the steps are.

Create race riots in the US and disconnect the UK from Europe.

How does it feel to be the pawn of russian intellectuals @Job?

Do you like being an agent of Russia?

It's hilarious that he brings up that book after being a staunch supporter of both of the things it mentions.

Im sure all this is making you feel so good about yourselves, but you may have read that one of the main aims is to deny liberalism its chokehold.

I'll join anyone train with that on the front.

OK - define liberalism again? Then maybe well understand what you're angry about.

Or, maybe even once.

Tell us what you want, @Job.

@Job - why don't you get it yet? We're not all lefty loonies or fanatic liberalists, we are just people with a sense of right and wrong, good and bad. My own tendencies are towards the right, but I 100% agree that Trump is a cunt and I am glad he is going. Your posts on here are so bi-polar - you don't ever seem to ever accept there is stuff in between all of that. That makes YOU an extremist, tbpfh, and I am fed up of you (have been for a long time as I am sure you know).

Well I never said you where, but why is it such a problem to you that I despise liberalism...I'm hardly alone, just look at the fucking liberal party in the UK.

You can borrow my magnifying glass.
Im not questioning your morality of right or wrong, just putting my opinion forward that what you think is right or wrong is not always a construct of your own experience, but merely a reflection of what you are conditioned to think.
I am quite possibly the least rabid right winger on the internet and you cant even handle me.
You are fed up with me...for what?

How can you despise what you can't define.

Despite repeated asking. You've never been able to put together anything coherent.

You make no sense Job. The words you write contradict themselves - sometimes in the very same sentence.

That's why people are fed up with you. That's why people shout at you. Not just because you make silly points - but because you're not consistent and you stand for nothing, just against things. "Things" you can't even define.

The reason why the Liberal Party is dead is because liberalism is now sewn into the fiber of the nation, to the point where they became irrelevant when the small s socialist Labour Party came about.

What you describe isn't Liberalism I know that you want to keep banging on about it but Liberalism isn't what you describe. But that's why, because you can't describe it you just shake your fist and growl liberalism.

How about this?

You make sweeping generalisations towards the community is if it were 'me vs them' ... this has led to you being an alienated and much-hated forum participant. Others can carry reasonable debate, you simply persist in a polarised, narrow-minded world of your own.

Yes we are all of us conditioned, except for you? The guy who rarely bothers to exercise critical thinking over anything the zealots say 🤦‍♂️
