Do you just call everyone something that you perceive as derogatory when they disagree with your point of view?

The opening sequence was widely derided for its hopelessly leftie slant by our resident trotskie Danny boyle, but it was very well done so we mostly overlooked it.

In this context who is we? And where was it derided and by who?

Sat through 20 mins this morning of the BBC interviewing crying Spanish expats about their loss of health care and how brexiters have destroyed their lives...then after about 5 total anti brexit segments the interviewer quickly mentions like the terms and conditions on a radio advert, the the UK and Spain have agreed to continue shared health care even under a no deal.

This is what we mean by fake news.

We'll have a trade deal with the EU too...

Eventually.

This is kinda the point and kinda the problem, we're ripping up lots of documents that take a long time to create, not just trade deals, it means we're going to have to start lots of things from scratch.

I think this is something you don't understand about most people that voted Remain, most of us understand that the UK can perform well without the EU, and possibly even be better (but its still an unknown) what we do know is that we will have a bad time for a while after we leave the EU, because it's uncertainty, and the economy massively relies on stability in order to do well.

I came to the conclusion that Brexit was a bad idea because I believe that very high risk of things going badly for the near future outweighs the unknown future.

Oh...so now we can perform well outside the EU..hmmmmm.

Thats an epic change of tune and this uncertainty you talk of would be long gone if remainers hadnt tried every trick in the book to block brexit and are now hilariously losing their shit when its done to them.

The uncertainty caused by the government being unable to get its shit together you mean?

If you vote for a bunch of shady wankers can hardly blame the other side of the argument when they act like shady wankers

In all honestly the most historically eurosceptic european member state voting to leave the EU during a time of austerity and increasing economic divide probably shouldn't be as baffling as it still is to some people. As with lots of things, this was never really about the EU. It was, and still is about our economic and political system failing.

Much like Trump has revealed the deep cultural xenophobia and racism at the heart of much of America, Brexit has laid bare the stark economic and cultural divide in this country too by giving people a means to pick sides. The old left wing / ring wing divide died a long time ago with the unions, now its globalists vs nationalists and Brexit is the lens through which people with nationalist leanings can celebrate and have a voice which they had previously been denied in mainstream culture, which has also been amplified by austerity and increasing economic and cultural gravity around London and the south.

John Major has joined Gina Millers team to try to block the closing of parliament.

Which is ironic, because he was the previously last prime minister to do it.

Two Tory MPs were accused of taking money to ask questions in the House of Commons which eventually led to Parliament initiating an official inquiry, led by Sir Gordon Downey.

Sir Gordon began his investigation in 1997, but before he published his report, the Parliamentary session was ended for a general election.

Two days after calling for the dissolution of Parliament, Mr Major was challenged in the Commons by Liberal Democrat MP Simon Hughes.

He asked the Tory leader if he had rushed into an election to ensure the report – which was set to judge whether former minister Neil Hamilton and MP Tim Smith received payments to ask questions as part of a lobbying campaign – was buried
