I think he is, but its all kinda spoilt by using it to be a guru.

I think its also true to say that if he backed your opinions you would think he was a fucking genius.

I’ve always said he was a knob and that his books and theories are laughable bullshit. Long before he said anything about Brexit. I’m well versed enough in Philosophy and Psychology to be able to see that.

No ones well versed in philosophy outside of knowing the buzzwords.

While I fully support the aims of philosphy, its subject matter is not something that can be 'taught'.

You only have to go on r/philosphy to see how protective they are of their cult opinion.

As if you even know what it is.

I see nothing has changed in parliament or this thread...even judging by this page alone.

Isnt it one of Brexits supposed goals to restore the sovereignty of parliament against an unelected elite?

If we ever do 'leave', then we are going to have to put up with 50 years of people trying to get us back in

Oh no. Trying to undo one of the greatest acts of self-harm of all time. The horror.

I saw a video the other day of Brexiteers laying into a woman who said she wouldn't respect the Brexit vote and would continue to campaign for us to rejoin the EU.

Betrayal of democracy etc...

I don't understand why there's Tories justifying selection, saying stuff like they shouldn't go against the main policy of the Government.

A Government that wasn't elected and therefore it wasn't a main Government policy when they were elected.

I just hope the rebels don't show their selves up and try to run again under a Brexit leader.

Endgame for all this is still Brexit, but with NI carved out and in the Customs Union and Single Market. Backstop becomes irrelevant, and as the Tories don't have a working majority anyway, the DUP's opinion is now also irrelevant.

It will be sold as a victory of pragmatism by the Tories (who will quietly backtrack on their unionist "principles" and point out NI has lots of unique laws anyway) and Labour/LibDems will vote for it on the grounds NI voted remain in the first place (which will trigger moans from Scotland but that can of worms can be kicked down the road).

I am happy to take bets.
