Its mostly used when I have an opinion about something that due to its political nature can be taken several ways depending on your investment in the subject.
I think its been the EUs worse 5 years in its history...many people would agree.
I think they are fucking up not just with brexit.
They have all but admitted that themselves
I point out they cant give us a deal even though we are more important to their future than the other 25 countries put together, because of the rule book.

I get facepalmed.
The only controversy is my take on our standing.

Because it's not a "take" that's based in reality.
Actually it is the reality.
The Germans have admitted it.
We are economically stronger than the bottom 19 put together, military stronger than them all and our soft power is actually growing at our stance against globalism.

You get facepalmed because you talk bollocks - like everything above.

Europe ain't fucking up brexit - we know the rules (we wrote them) - so we shouldn't be surprised when a club sticks to them when a member wants to leave.

WE are making a hash of brexit - partly because we designed the rules in such a way that a hash *had* to be the result of wanting to leave, and partly UK parliamentary incompetence.

The EU is blameless here - they don't want us to leave and they can't (and shouldn't) give us what we want (snorkels instead of aqualungs) because they'll drown if they do.

This is a mess *entirely* of our own making, regardless of how you feel about the EU.

I cant say the EU is fucking up the actual brexit talks..its just normal negotiations.
They have fucked up by letting it get here, if you want to build a world standing club.
Hint..dont alienate your strongest member.

Stop blaming the messenger, the people voted out.
Seriously thats like blaming the voting commission for the Tory party.

So a new law has to be passed by next Friday to delay the Brexit date however Downing Street is saying that even if Parliament rejects that as the EU has extended the date it is international law and overrides Parliament law.

You could NOT make this fucking shit up. Theresa May is the worst fucking thing to ever happen to this Union.

Its not idiotic, its the truth and anyone with two brain cells laughs at the keep trying for the right answer approach.
You end up with who has the most resources and influence to keep asking the question.
It's not the same question.

Unless 96% of the original 52% are happy with May's deal then it is not the will of the people. That's simple maths. Same with no deal.

Vote Leave promised a deal. If we wanted to go no deal then you can't pretend it has a democratic mandate. This is simple fucking stuff.

Its not a UK humiliation, its the EUs worse 5 years in its history.
Simply because the mainstream media has decided to band together as usual to describe the process as us fucking up..its THEM fucking up because they dont know what to do.
They are stuck with a rule book that is sending them down the road of losing all present trade deals with its second biggest economy.

They could save it in a minute, custom union with limits on free movement.
Except they know it would be an even greater shitstorm for them as every EU country went full fuck you.

The UK rejected customs union, not the EU. Free movement is not a condition of the customs union, it is a condition of membership of the single market, which is a different thing, and you've just ably demonstrated how after nearly three years of exposure to this, the average person still doesn't understand Brexit.

I can only assume he had so much admiration for @Job's post that he thought it needed saying twice.

Irish internet at its finest :p

I think it's more to with the building I'm in; I think it's made of lead or something - my 4G is always flaky as fuck in here and fine two feet outside the front door

I thought we wanted the customs union and free movement limits.
Which is a big ask obviously.

No. I already said this and it's not a big ask. Freedom of movement is nothing to do with the customs union.

What it wouldn't solve is the Irish border which leading brexit campaigners recently admitted they hadn't thought much about during the referendum.

Keep ignoring the literally dozens of posts that have explained, with evidence, why this world view is utter shite.

No, the Tories didn't want the customs union because then they would then be tariff-sharing with the EU to third countries instead of doing all these mythical trade deals they're definitely absolutely capable of doing really quickly.

Customs Union doesn't have free movement obligations or rights, which is why Turkey can be in the Customs Union but not the single market.

See? "Brexit means Brexit", the most meaningless catchphrase in history.

There you go @Job

"Theresa May - the people voted for pain".

Did you vote for pain, @Job? I don't think vote leave said "vote leave = vote pain" on the side of the bus, did they?

Explain to me why you voted for pain @Job. Because May is intent on delivering pain for you.
