They are moving HQ to fudge the paperwork.
So how about Dyson? He was one of the louder Leave-supporting business leaders...

You'd think he'd do all he could to stick around and support the economy...

Yep. Dyson leaving UK and paying tax in Singapore.

P&O paying tax in, what, cyprus?

Sony paying tax in amsterdam.

Loads of people leaving the sinking ship.

There books are indeed getting fudged @Job - but it's where their corp tax gets paid that counts. And it's not here because they're leaving...

I doubt Dyson's personal tax liabilities outweigh his company tax liabilities. And his company will be paying taxes elsewhere.

Not elitist to say the 'elite' have no clue either :p
Of course they do. And they're supporting whatever side they want to win in their own self-interest.

Whichever side is going to earn them wonga they want to win. Regardless of outcome for the plebs. Which is why Leave Campaigner Jacob TheCunt-Mogg has opened a fund in Ireland.

Along with loads of companies re-headquartering.

Loads? You mean 2?

Lol you really are desperate for some misery to gloat over arent you? :) Sony move a plaque and Dyson move a couple of execs and all of a sudden the "ship is sinking"?

Yet landlords in the Square Mile had their most successful quarter ever - despite your assertion everyone was moving out of London - and other companies such as Chanel, Starbucks and Google are increasing their investments in the UK.

Square Mile office deals surge despite Brexit

Dyson moving wasn't great optics for him but I have absolutely no doubt they remain committed to the UK, and considering most of their staff here are likely to be 40% Tax Payers I suspect they will remain lucrative for HMRC. That £2.5 billion investment in Cal's post hasn't gone away either.

Sony? Meh. The staff are staying here and they are hardly a profit machine in Europe. Pretty sure their contribution via CT can be easily made up for :)

2? what planet are you living on, there are much more than 2 looking to jump ship, an official count would be published next month but for now the estimate is 150-250, bit more than 2.....

I've still got money on Brexit being cancelled. It's economic suicide to go ahead with it - there is no factual data that suggests we'd be better off outside of the EU, just tory back benchers claiming so. Every report I've seen paints a grim picture.

How many of these businesses had contracts with the Government though? Think about all the space that this creates for new businesses that can get new government contracts - and will be owned by Tory brexiteers.

They're just moving the pieces around so they can get a better slice of cake, fuck the many, not the few.

The purpose of airbus, like *all business* is to make money. Nothing else.

Brexit interferes with that.

@Bodhi, have a watch of the video from the Airbus chief and tell us why he's wrong and this isn't a biggie for business.

I would ask @Job too but he doesn't know what business is for.

Airbus was built to spread the construction across Europe..helping out areas like Wales.
So Airbus have taken it upon themselves to threaten to pull out...who the fuck are they to threaten to pull the rug on one of the founding nations of the project.

It's a business you fucking idiot. A privately owned company. They, by law, have to take decisions that maximise revenue to shareholders.

If that means leaving Britain, then that's what they have to do. It's not even part owned by BAE anymore.

"Unconsciously incompetent"...
